:think Yes, you are right on that part. It would only be fair JMM gets one last huge payday after years of being in the shadows of MAB and EM. I guess it might be better he lose to Pac + a huge payday then lose out to Khan, Bradley, Alexander, or any other top 140lber or LW. You may be right. You are wise like Professor Xavier except with a doghead. What's up with your avatar, gyll?

Yes, I like the PAC vs JMM III but what weight are you thinking of?!

135LBS I believe has an advantage
140LBS and above is PAC's territory

Nevertheless, I don't think Pac will get credit if he beats JMM at any weight simply because of his age. The fight souns good in paper but it wouldn't add any legacy to pacquio at all.

JMM deserves the payday. I just don't want to see him outmatched again, he ain't the same guy that fought Pac and Pac ain't the same guy that won and drew againsed him (many say lost)

JMM will be missed when he hangs them up so I say give him the shot, he deserves it and it would sell like beer flavoured vaginas.

I suppose JMM/Pac 3 would be a barometer of how Pac would do against Pbf(not that they will ever meet in the ring).

If Pac is really light years ahead of JMM, he should get an easy KO above 140
    and would best Floyd's performance.

If he struggles against JMM like he did before, then maybe PAC has been feasting on inferior(to JMM) fighters and his performances above 140 have been overrated.

Anyone thinking a Pac victory here is a foregone conclusion :bart:
    (just remember DLH/Pac)

If this fight ever happens it should be fought at 135 since it will create a more even playing field since Marquez looked bloated above 140. Plus I think at lightweight Pacquiao will get more credit if he beats Marquez there and the fight would be more competitive imo. But who knows if Pacquiao would be able to reach 135 comfortably these days.

I beg to disagree. Floyd is no JMM nor JMM is Floyd. Style makes fight. That can't be a good barometer on how pac will perform against floyd.

Diaz is no great fighter and would never be.

I dont wana see a jmm-pac 3rd encounter. JMM is not the same as he was when he fought pac. Fighting pac at 140 up would not be same as at 130. I love jmm, I dont want him fighting pac for retirement fund.

I don't care if Pac doesn't get any credit for fighting a soon-to-be 37 year old. Pac needs to put an end to his rivalry with Marquez and knock him out for good. Getting stoppage wins over Barrera, Morales, AND Marquez would mean a lot to him.

I agree make the Trilogy with Marquez then Margarito when Floyd and King say they dont need PACMAN.

    Schaefer's puppet is in:

Marquez answered the media in Spanish and De La Hoya translated. “He’ll fight Pacquiao between 140-143 pounds. If Juan Manuel Marquez went all the way to 147 to fight Floyd Mayweather… Juan Manuel Marquez going all the way up to challenging the best fighter in the planet, hung in there for 12 rounds, fought with heart like he always does and we feel if he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao, fight him at a catchweight of 140-143 pounds he’ll do it with no problems. He is right here ready and willing.”

Pacquiao-Marquez 3 at 140, Arum would be an idiot to pass this up.

Sorry Pac aint going to fight at 135 maybe 140 but 147 he would destroy JMM. Marquez looked very sluggish and slow at 147 with now power.

Does anyone know if the Margarito-Pacquiao fight is official yet? Have they even signed yet?

True, actually makes me think he would get bashed for it more than he is for his supposed bout with Margarito.

How do people think Margarito JMM would go? Exactly

  14. I think he could pull off an upset. Marquez is pretty ****ing good. I believe he can still dig deep and find a way to win.

well pac is in a lose-lose situation whoever he fights until floyd grows a pair. so its ok, fight marquez next year if floyd won't still fight pacquiao. let's get through with margo and make floyd or jmm pac's last fight next year.
