No, he should not give Haye a reason to run his mouth again! Finally that chicken (Haye) is silent.. And thats the way it should be if he is to afraid to fight Vitali

I recall in his recent BBC video interview, he said after he, or his brother, gets the WBA title, its time for him to say goodbye. I think his retirement pretty much strictly depends on how long it takes to get Haye to fight one of them, and for them to get Haye's title..........

Be that one fight, two, or whatever. It may be a few mega fights, if Haye were to somehow win the first time he faces one of them.

Vitali singed a two fight deal. Sosnoski was fight #1. Briggs, because Valuev, and Haye are scared is fight #2.

What he does after Briggs is anyone guess. I think he presses on.

We all know there isn't a HW out there that could beat Vitali for at least the next 3 years. But it's his career and he'll retire when he wants.
It'll suck for us, the fans, if he retires before that.

Good point look at Holyfield, RJJ, Hopkins, Hector Camacho, etc.

Yeah if he does retire that gives the opportunity for the unification of the titles to his brother.

Wasn't great to begin with but unless he beats Haye I think he should just hang em up.

I really hope he doesn't retire till he's 46, breaking Foreman's record. He keeps himself in great condition and I think he could still dominate till them. 50 wins and and retain the >90% KO ratio should cement him into the top 10-20 heavyweights of all time. His only knock could be quality of opposition.... But that may change in the next couple years if he keeps on going and Haye grows some balls..

If he were losing his fights, or was getting beaten about the ring, and barely winning, I can see hanging the gloves up.

But when you are as almost unbeatable in the current division, as Vitali clearly is, why pull the plug on his reign, when it shows no signs of being in jeapordy, yet?

These guys train and condition themselves so hard to acheive and maintain this high level, and to make this kind of incredible income, not to mention he and Wlad are but one title away from holding all four titles...........so why stop, this close to the completion of their goal of having all four titles between them?
