    The police recovered it. No details yet, but Thaxton should have it back on Wednesday.

    If you win it, you keep it. Most titles are very cheap to produce and made out of plastic. The Lonsdale belt is about the nicest around and must cost a hell of a lot more than the average world title belt.

    I seem to remember Jim Rosenthal saying that the Lonsdale belt was about £6k, but then he also referred to Tessa Sanderson as a 'Spearchucker' so probably best not to listen to everything the man says

    I've heard the same thing, about £6k.

    Then again, far fewer of them are handed out for keeps so they can afford to push the boat out a bit.

    Too many of our lads just win it and sack it off to fight for the European like McDonnell did, which is wrong IMO.... whereas others do the Kell Brook and find the weakest assortment of opponents that the board will allow and get it outright cheaply :-(
