a good comparison is david haye, his fight with harrison.

now lets say in 2011 he has 3 fights, vitali, wlad then a homecoming vs harrison.

that would be fine, cos he proves his credentials as a champ, then gives something back to the fans.

of course it is about volume, i am all for home town fights, and giving people a shot, but considering floyd fights once a year, he cant waste it on undeserving opponents. not if he wants to secure his legacy.

When you can make at least $20mil a fight I think you can pretty much say whatever the hell you want....Don't take it from me tho just look at anyone who has faught FMJ when he became a draw and see when thier biggest payday came, even ODLH

    Shut the hell up

In his weight class Pac if he ever agrees to the test or Berto, Under only Bradley, Over either Williams or Martinez because besides the fighters high in his weight class I just see floyd out classing everyone he comes across in the ring and I only wanna see him fight pac to let everyone know he is just a hype job

    good opponents.

would you accept it if next year his only fight is meaningless, i.e. clottey or matthew hatton?

I kind of disagree. That is not a good comparison. Harrison is a "local" and a "bum". No compelling personal story. No fan base to "grow" or eager to see him live that otherwise wouldn't.

Now say David Haye versus a admittedly limited common opponent of the Ks IN Russia, NY, or anywhere America? All for the fans. All for the buzz. We know that the "real" fight would take place in Germany proper. This just lets him connect with the fan base or grow it.

A Harrison fight is just silly except for the context you spoke about. Just like a Mayweather/Urango fight would be. My only point is that a Hatton fight in Manchester would sell the place out. That is good for boxing.

Guys like Mayweather and Pac are getting old. They should only fight young lions if they absolutely have to. I wish they would, but I kind of understand their positions. I would rather them say "I am not fighting." than to set up garbage fights.

Clottey yes because like it or not, and this is why pac gets credit rather clottey wanted to fight back or not, is still a top 5 welter....but matthew hatton I would personally get tickets to that fight and find an way to get this fight stopped lol, seriously

Yeah Clottey was a solid opponent.

Hatton is pure crap unless it is late this year/early next year, in Manchester, AND he has a guaranteed date for something else in the summer.

PAC CHERRYPICKS OPPONENTS WHO DONT MOVE....

MOSLEY DESERVED A SHOT MORE SO THAN TONY..HE KNOCKED TONY AND HE IS A BIGGER NAME AND WOULD GENERATE MORE MONEY THAN A FIGHT WITH TONY..

ALSO, JMM IS OUT THERE AND HE COULD DO THE SAME 10LBS LIGHTER ..

LET ALONE ITS AT ANOTHER GAY AZZ CATCHWEIGHT:huh

no compelling story? how about amatuer room mates, haye was the next big thing, harrison stole the limelight by taking home the gold, he then kindly let haye take fights on his undercard befor getting knocked out by sprott. he asked haye to give him a spot on his undercard, haye did not return the favour. add in the fact they are the top 2 ranked english heavyweights today. and it would easily sell out, we dont get hw title fights that much in england.

but this **** should only happen if he is fighting frequently and against world class opponents.

matthew hatton should not be in a ring with floyd unless he has fought 3 times in a year against the likes of pac, williams and cotto.
