Your analysis falls short, as does Chert's. Let me quote his as well as yours.

Hatton has no lack of hand and footspeed. As a matter of fact, his footspeed and ability to close the gap quickly was one of the reasons he was competitive early on with Mayweather. Others will confirm this, as Hatton is actually quite quick on his feet. His downfall is his ability to infight effectively when being smothered, which is what PBF did to him, something Pacquiao has shown no proficiency at. Pacquiao has never shown the ability to box from the outside for any length of time, as he usually comes straight forward, has little side movement and thus will be in close quarters with Hatton. He relies on his explosiveness to push others back and give him the room he needs to operate. I don't know why some feel the need to add extra qualities to Pacquiao's arsenal that do not exist. He is a come forward fighter who cannot fight at all off his back foot. His power has already started to diminish as he has gone up, and at 140, Hatton will see his punches coming and certainly smother him.

PacD has wrongly surmised that if PBF can hurt Hatton (believing PBF to be "featherfisted", his 25 ko's somehow earning him that reputation in his eyes) that an unproven Pacquiao at 140lbs can, though he has never fought over 130. This is a horrible leap in logic, as PBF has good power against fighters his own size AND didn't hurt Hatton with his power, but his speed and accuracy and TIMING. He hurt Hatton with a punch he didn't see coming,

Now onto the silly notion that Hatton's short arms will somehow aid Pacquiao. Hatton was unbeaten before facing Mayweather. In nearly every fight he has had, (all that I can find) he was at a disadvantage in reach. It does not hinder him because of his style.

Mayweather exploited it with skills that Pacquiao doesn't possess. Hatton's lack of a jab is not a hinderance in his style when facing someone like Pacquiao, but when facing someone who moves around the ring. It's not relevant here, whether you believe it or not. And Pacquiao gets hit as much as Hatton does. This will come down to who can take more punishment, because both will dish it out. Pacquaio will wilt very fast when he realizes that the strength disparity and that he will not be able to get his shots off against Hatton like he wishes. He does not set up his shots like Mayweather.

PacD, you need to learn to analyze styles instead of just physical attributes. And stop using that template of whomever fights the most like Pacquiao (Ie , Power and speed, with good straight punches) is going to win. This led to your misreading of the Soto-Guzman fight. Styles change things, not to mention, you are merely guessing at Pacquaio's ability at 140, and taking the word of his trainer on an exxageration of his power....
