LoL at Foreman shoving Qawi 20 seconds in. Qawi goes flying back like he could go threw the ropes.

I think Foreman did well in this fight after ad******g, at if memory serves me correct. In the early stages he was thrown off... Qawi is so short and fights low already that it was a unusual scenario to deal with at first.

Watch the grazing blow at 4:53 hit Qawi.

Foreman was physically way too big. He was too big for Frazier as well.

How about Tyson, does his extra muscle weight over Frazier make him 'big enough'?

    Yes I think so.

  7. joe frazier weighed 214 pounds and 224 against george foreman, prime tyson weighed 216 against larry holmes. the weight is not matter, george foreman weighed 231 in 1976. and he is much stronger than lennox lewis(245). tyson´s style is perfect for george. foreman could be outboxed, but nobody would survive exchanging blows against george foreman.

I don't agree. I think plenty of fighters would stand a good shot at beating George exchanging with him. A guy that was both powerful and fast would have a good shot. To me, no matter the size difference, Tyson would stand a good shot simply because he combined speed and power so effectively. Tyson's delivery mechanism is/was second to none. As far as Lewis, George might have been the physically stronger man overall, but Lennox' punching power was not much, if any, less than George's.

Qawi did well early on. And George was at his lowest weight for his entire comeback, so George was definitely in shape for the fight. George looked rather clumsy and uncoordinated over the first few rounds, but he warmed up.

Qawi was out of shape but he fought a smart fight.
Joe Frazier didn't fight smart against Foreman.

If Qawi had been given more time to prepare he might have gone the distance and given Foreman a close fight.

It's worth noting that Holyfield destroyed an in-shape Qawi just a few months earlier.

Big enough to get his ass kicked all over the place maybe.

  12. i disagree 100%, foreman was much stronger and by far harder puncher than lennox lewis with both hands and george had much better chin . like i said.. and CUS DAMATO SAID TOO!! styles make fights... foreman would ko mike tyson 5/5 fights.
and as i said FOREMAN COULD BE OUTBOXED BUT NO BOXER IN THE HISTORY WOULD SURVIVE EXCHANGING BLOWS WITH GEORGE FOREMAN

Probably also worth noting ,that Foreman was 39 years old.
How many rounds does Qawi go with a 25 year old George?
