Brilliant. Best o luck to Magee and hopefully he gets a good opponent that can get him closer towards a world title shot...pretty sure Bute would fight him.

What your saying is Frank Warren is the only way Magee can get a crack at a world title. Your arrogance is staggering:lol:

Magee is well beyond Smith, and Smith would be wise to look behind him cause Groves and Degale are starting to sniff around him and are licking there lips ready to feast on him:hey

Maybe in Britain it will receive less interest, but who cares about that. He's an Irish fighter fighting in Ireland, and the interest will be huge here:deal

True more people would be watching this fight in ireland then if he fought paul smith on sky

this fight will give him much more exposure in Ireland then fighting on sky:deal

Magee has bigger fish to fry after this fight

Who do you fancy to be in the opposite corner come the fight? Hopefully a better standard of fighter than Smith considering what has been said already.

Quigley is a good fighter, who had a good game plan to stop some of smith's best work, but smith still won.
Magee has ducked him end of

**** it, let's throw Degale or Groves in with him.

It seems you only need to be a 10 fight prospect with a big mouth these days to be considered for title fights

i think he deserves a handy defence after the last one going to denmark to knock him out

i would of loved to see the smith fight but **** happens , why would magee duck smith when he has already fought a lot better opponents in there back yards like froch and reid

That's how it usually works on this forum, you're either called a troll or you're biased

I haven't been following this Magee - Smith story, is Smith the mandatory challenger for Magee's title? If not how can anyone say Magee ducked him?

The fight went to purse bids, and old brian did not like the deal he was getting. at the end of the day, people can say what they want in terms of they think paul smith is any good or not, but you cannot say smith does not want to test himself, whereas brian had an option to defend against a legit opponent, and also to fight for the lonsdale, and now he is fighting someone with a few losses on his record, a bit shop worn. for god sakes, he pulled out of purse bids, and then said he would fight the ****ing winner of prizefighter. I mean whether he was going to or not, how disrespectfull was that towards smith?

Yeah that seems to be it:patsch

As far as Im aware Magee was nominated by the BBB of C to box for Smiths title. Magees management discussed the match with Warren, but then declined Warrens offer citing to many clauses in the contract or whatever. Magee is now going a different route which will hopefully result in a world title shot for him. I dont think ducking Smith came into it at all.:-(
