because they could out something else on which gets the same viewers for half the amount. also advertisers don't like boxing. its quite simple. sky can keep the hardcore boxing fans subscribing with just there domestic offering and the odd major fight. if they paid 35k for Pascal vs Dawson, they probs wouldnt make there money back from advertising.

the super 6, as great as it is, have you ever tried explaining it to a non boxing fan?

to be hoenst its 3 keep busy fights for mosley, ortiz and alvarez as the cards not on HBO.

Beyond this I would like to see

    Mosley vs Berto
    Ortiz vs Maidana
    Alvarez vs D.Hopkins

Can't say I disagree early hours shows are never going to be a big sell regardless of the Sport.

I personally feel that Alvarez is ready for a title shot against one of the weaker title holders at 147 so either Zaveck or Seschenko no need to mince time get him a title and 1/2 defense's then a major unification fight with Berto it could be done in a year.

Some night of Boxing. I think Ill buy the Warren card and record mcguigans Belfast card but Ill certyainly be picking the juanma-marquez card out of the american pair. Baldomirs gone to pieces, thats a terrible fight imo. I have little interest in Mora and I think Shane will beat him. Ortiz-Harris is the pick of the card imo and I think ortiz will win mid-late stoppage

Zavack the one that annihilated Hlatswato? I wouldn't feel confident putting Alvarez in with anyone that dangerous myself.

Rob, I think Nate Campbell is too much of a stretch. Cotto had at least campaigned at 147 in a few fights.

Alfonso Gomez would be ok but he is Top Rank so rules it out.

Honestly i think Kell Brook would knock Alvarez out in 2 rounds.

Anyways, if Alvarez is fighting Baldomir, is he now a light middle?

Don't care much for the undercard. Decent contender match ups where the only interest I have is if they come to fight.

I like Mora but I don't want to see Mosley lose to him. Mosley's legacy deserves more than that but then again he did take drugs and that always makes me view less of a man.

Brook is ****. He's even less tested than Alvarez.

Alvarez will fight at 154 until he can get a title fight at 147. He says he can still make the weight and wants to win a title there.

Are people REALLY getting excited about the prospect of Ortiz vs Harris or Carlos Baldomir being dug up?

I think its a very poor card and headlined by a fight that Mosely wins easily if he fights like he can do or Mora gets a name on his CV that he doesn't deserve if he has nothing left.

Agreed. Its a **** card. HOWEVER, if Baldomir is in shape and not completely shot to bits it will at least be itneresting to see how Alvarez gets on with him.

However, I know what I'll be watching that night:hey

Since he beat Gatti, Baldomir has only won twice in 5 fights... against Luciano Perez and Jario Jesus Siris... If Alvarez is half as good as we're being told then it could be a very easy night for him methinks.
