Dawson is one of the most skilled guys in all of boxing right now. He displays the total package in terms of offense and defense. he has and continues to beat the top 175 lbers. He should be in the top 5 of everyone's p4p list atm.

Michael Moorer was a huge knockout guy though. Dawson isn't. I have questions about Chad's chin too. I don't think moving up would be a good idea for him. Great athlete though. Bute would be an interesting fight, as would Cloud, if Cloud does what he's supposed to with Glen.

I'm not being aggressive when I ask this, I'm just curious for your take on this... How much more before it's not jumping the gun? I know he's destroyed Harding(which Harding was favored to win). He's whooped Tarver twice. He had a struggle with Johnson, but then nullified it with a dominating performance the 2nd go round(ironically closer on the cards than the first fight even though it was an obvious once-sided affair). And it's likely that he beats Pascal...and a decent chance he beats Pascal pretty easily. If that happens would we still be jumping the gun? Hopkins won't fight him. Calzaghe won't fight him(that's not a slight, what's the point for him to fight him?). At what point is it not jumping the gun? As for comparing him to Taylor, that may be ok. Taylor beat Hopkins twice, albeit contraversial...and those 2 wins trump most fighters career resumes. But Lacy? Lacy didn't really beat many people of substance before Calzaghe. Vanderpool was his best opponent. Is it safe to say Dawson isn't Lacy in your perspective?
