Has there ever been a top MMA fighter whose specialty was taekwondo?

And before the inevitable "of course there has been you ******" comments start, I am not and have never claimed to be an MMA expert, I'm a "noob" with regard to the sport, but one who is interested in learning more so any constructive responses would be much appreciated.

I know of great wrestlers in MMA (eg Henderson), great Muay Thai kickboxers (eg Shogun), and even a great karate practitioner (Machida), but I personally do not know of any great taekwondo artist.

Nobody who really had a specialty in it, as in they based their game on it, comes to mind. A lot of guys have done it, but when they go into training camp they certainly don't bring a TKD coach.

    What about Kung Fu?

    Or Savate ?

Or how about the art of fighting, without fighting?

TKD is the worst of the main MA to move into MMA, i mean the "fights" are a joke and in no way get you ready for how tough a real fight is.

Zelg Galesic who trains extensively with CC may disagree with this statement.

Im sure there is always an exception the case, but not many. Boxing is even better than TKD for the simple face it is full contact.
