An absolute diaster if this fight happens and Pavlik looses. For Pavlik that is. But it won't happen. Pavlik should have other options that'll give him more money than this fight.

Does anybody know who Pirog had scheduled (in June) before the Jacobs fight turned up?

Pirog is too much for Pavlik. Pav will be eating punches fa sure. He can't touch PIROG. The russain has better defence, slips punches and counters he will have a field day ripping the slower Pavlik apart.

    Pirog TKO 9.

Well the good news is, there is an article about it and it's finally out in the open. Sr. finally publicly said what everyone else has said for a while. IMO, for Pav. to even have any chance to get things back, he's gotta make a pretty big change in operations. Even then, it's an uphill battle.

He better stay away from this Russian guy at least until he gets it together or it will be worse than the Martinez fight.

Pavlik Sr. is right, what Kelly needs is not a conditioner but another trainer with Loew. He's one dimensional and predictable. He can go twelve and has good power, that's not the problem. He also needs a nutritionist to keep him healthy at a comfortable weight and prevent overtraining.

Kelly has to prove he can still fight at 160. I hope he can, but......

Pavlik has went from being pretty overrated to very underrated. Yes he was beaten by Martinez, but Sergio is a very, very skilled boxer and Pav still managed to take 3-4 rounds and suffered a nasty cut which often affects a fighters performance. Also, Martinez went from being a top 11-15 pound for pound fighter to a a top 5-8 in the eyes of a lot of experts on the back of this win, how can this possibly be if the man he beat was a bum? A Pavlik v Pirog fight sounds great to me, both guys like to come forward and have very good power. It will be a make or break fight, if Pirog wins he's established as a true force at 160lbs and Pavlik is on the scrapheap, if Pavlik wins he is back on track with a big fight against the Martinez v Williams 2 winner and Pirog is back to the drawing board.

I think the outcome will depend on the weight.
