VIP, are you being serious? At first I thought it was funny and you just needed a few things about weight training to be cleared up, now I'm beginning to think you really have absolutely no clue.

Weights are heavy because gravity pulls them towards the earth. Negating gravity takes energy, lots of it actually. That energy needs to come from somewhere. So sure you can lose weight by lifting weights, why not. Manual labour does the exact same thing.

Ricky Hatton worked with Kerry to move up in weight and Kerry is a bodybuilder sponsorship in CNP and that is what he is doing now. I know this for a fact. He is not a trainer. Ricky never used weights at 140 until he met Kerry. Cardio is the best way to lose weight why dont you see fat people in the gym just on weights? They are all over the cardio machines.

It is a good form of loosing weight because it is exercise I thought most people on here boxed but from these replies I really doubt it. If you are old and overweight any form of exercise will help to lose weight of course but if you box I am guessing most on here do not weights do not help.

I refuse to believe this. I have trained at his gym many times and know I am 100% right on this.

I know I was taking the ****. I'm really happy with my results to be honest. Three workouts which coome to under 2 hours work per week are really helping me in the gym.

Where do you get your information from? Do you just make it up as you go along? Seriously. You need to read lots and lots of books on conditioning, training and diet, don't believe the **** your skinny friends from the gym tell you or the **** you make up in your head.

I read that Hatton was only super serious with weights after his 20th or so fight. I can't remember the source but he was edged into it and began getting fantastic results, helping him in his fights.

Stop talking ****. Kerrys Hattons nutrionist and strength coach. He's been working with him since 2002. Matter of fact you can see him in the corner during the Tsyzu fight, long before Hatton made his foray to 147.

And Kerry is a former Bodybuilding British champion, nutrition and strength coach. He works as a promoter for CNP and is one of the most qualified men in the game sponoring many of Britains top BB's and powerlifters.

You on the other hand are a village idiot.

Edit: Just found this nice excerpt from his wiki page

    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerry_Kayes[/ame]

In 2000 Kayes wrote weight loss diets for [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricky_Hatton"]Ricky Hatton[/ame] and other Billy Graham boxers, then in 2002 at the request of Billy Graham (Ricky Hatton's boxing coach) Kayes became the strength and nutrition coach for light welterweight boxing champion Ricky Hatton, his main responsibilities being to make Hatton stronger and helping him to make weight, no small task given Hatton's love of junk food between fights. It is widely reported that Hatton sometimes balloons up by more than 40lbs over his fighting weight. He achieved this through a strict training routine and diet consisting of a mixture of food and CNP professional nutrition supplements.[3] Prior to the Hatton link up Kayes was already being sought out by athletes away from bodybuilding, especially boxers needing to make weight, as his experience in bodybuilding gave him knowledge that could be adapted easily to other sports. He has personally trained or advised hundreds of professional and amateur boxers including Ricky & Matthew Hatton, [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Macklin"]Matthew Macklin[/ame], John and Joe Murray, Jamie Moore, Alex Arthur, Kevin Mitchell, Anthony Farnell, David Price, Frankie Gavin[4], Tony Jeffries[5] and the Cambridge University Boxing Club for their 100th varsity match with Oxford.
In recent times Kayes has linked up with Joe Gallagher in the creation of the Gallagher's Gym, attached to his Betta Bodies Gymnasium with a stable of exciting fighters for the future.[6]
Recently Kerry has been sought out for advice and nutrition products by Anthony McGann & Lee Gwynn from the Wolfslair Mixed Martial Art Academy for its stable of fighters including [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Bisping"]Michael Bisping[/ame], Paul Kelly, Mario Sukata, Hall of Famer Mark Coleman (one of only 5 UFC hall of famers)and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.[7]
