    I hear you. But,

    1. He hits harder than Cotto, I dont think anybody will argue that.

    2. Manny is also easy to hit

    3. Kirkland would be the hardest puncher Manny has faced to date.

    4. In the end with Kirkland's ferocious style I think he will run right over Manny if he gets hurt cause Manny will trade if he gets hit.

    5. Im not that certain Cotto's defense it any better than Kirkland so thats a non-factor.

Kirkland is a very good prospect with a lot of question marks.

Pacquiao is a proven world champion in multiple divisions who has faced some of the best fighters in the world.

The gap in class is just too great. TBH, I can't even believe this comparison is being made at this point. Kirkland hasn't even fought in how long?

I think the comparison is being made because Kirkland is a beast and that is in every sense of the word.

Guess you never heard of the term Fantasy Fight. Its not as ridiculous as say, Ali vs Tyson which will never happen. This fight could conceivably happen thats why I made the thread. So who do u pick? And Why? Resume aside!

Manny at WW and at Jr MW is NOT a heavy hitter. But he's quick enough and explosive enough to cause damage! If he's the usual PAC...he's gonna be busy and he's gonna be accurate. I just think like most of Manny's fights he'll end up wearing his foe down over 12 rounds. or within 12 rounds.

James to me isn't experineced enough to handle when "**** HITS THE FAN". He'll find out early on that Manny is faster than he thought...he hits harder than he thought and is not easy to hit!

Being young and this inexperienced I see James falling victim to his youth and the leve Manny operates on vs James.....it will be apparent and early on in the fight.

Like I said before...James is young and dangerous with a lot of potenital. but I think his trainer Wolfe.....she's taken him as far as he can go. She's given him the mental edge b/c he's is definitly TOUGH! But in terms of his skills and style....:verysad He needs work....and lucky for him he's got a good promoter and a lot of talent. James needs a better trainer to improve on Flaws he has working with Anne.

True dat! James is a power house. He's short, compact and devastating but he's also very limited and raw, unpolished and inexperienced.

Manny isn't that easy to hit.....Manny when he does get hit is usually when he's baiting his opponent whom has gone inactive due to being dominated.

But when Manny is moving, usuing head movment and poppin off the jab or lead left and bouncin on his toes it's very difficutl to find your mark. He doesn't do that too often b/c he's a fighter who likes to go toe toe where he usually gets the better of it.

With James he'll do less of that and more of boxing on the outside or he should. B/c James has that kind of power!

And I'm 100% certian Cotto's has by far the more solid "D" than James. James is very easily hit and it doesn't seem to bother him at the moment.

I'd pick Pacquiao by KO/TKO mid-late rounds. Yes, Kirkland is strong and powerful and a beast. But Pacquiao is too skilled and too fast at this stage to be bothered by Kirkland, imo. Also, Kirkland at this point is still just getting out of jail, he needs some proper re-training. Kirkland also has shown in the past that he can be hurt and even dropped. If he comes out trying to maul Pacquiao, he'd get caught like Ricky Hatton.

I like Kirkland alot but with a year off and Manny on a roll I pick mannys faster hands to go inside Kirklands wide punches and do damage he will wear him down and stop him

While you say you believe Manny will fight on the outside, unless he literally plans to run around the ring to avoid getting into exchanges, there will be no standing on the outside with Kirkland. If you can't keep space with a strong jab, even doubling and tripling the jab (Jack Lowe style) and it have some stank on it, you aren't keeping this cat from getting in range, and when he does he's coming with it. I'm not saying the dude can't be beat, I'm saying he isn't going to be "out faught"/"out brawled" by a smaller man. Manny isn't a "pure boxer" he isn't going to fight on the outside, move around the ring, work behind his jab, come on dude...when has he ever done this? If Clottey can hit him, I assure you Kirkland will hit him and I just don't think he can stand up to it. If I'm wrong I'll be the first to say so, but I just can't see that happening.

They are levels apart skillwise, it's like pre hatton-pac or cotto-pac with a lot of people feeling Ricky/Cotto would hurt Pac and maybe stop him with a good chance at victory overall. Come fight night we all saw what Pac did to Ricky and Miguel.

I think it would be a very similar situation with Kirkland, yes he's a lot bigger and more powerful than Hatton/Cotto and probably a better boxer than atleast Hatton but theres so much more Pac has to him compared to Kirk, plus the time in prison he did won't help his career, history tells us that. No dice for James, ever, Pac KO's him before the 8th.

Manny was evasive against Hatton and Hatton wasn't applying intelligent pressure. Kirkland Much bigger much Stronger and would come forward actually throwing punches not looking to clinch how Hatton does. So I dont see any similarity between Hatton and Kirkland style-wise, or as far as the outcome of this fight goes.

:patschKirkland has shown a good chin? Dude has been dropped three times by complete nobodies.

Pac would **** up this overhyped bum, way too fast and skilled, way too precise with his combos, and Kirkland doesn't have any defence what so ever.

Kirkland is a worse version of Pavlik, the guy sucks.
