People actually are giving Margarito a good chance to win? I fail to see your point.

If anything, JMM has a better shot than Margarito to win. The Margarito fight is a total joke. Besides the fact that Margarito the cheater shouldn't be allowed to fight again, let alone have a title shot. It's a disgrace.

one of the reasons alot of Pac haters want this fight is specifically because he has nothing to gain from it, win or lose.

That being said, there's also some people who want this fight because they think JMM is still in his prime like he was at 126 and 130, but I don't agree with them. There's probably a few Pac fans who want this fight because they want Pac to get an easy win against a big name and end all doubt as to who is better h2h, but I don't think this fight would prove anything.

I agree with arum this time. I want to see marquez fight at least bradley or alexander @ 140. If he can beat either one then a fight with pac for the Ring 140 lbs title would be an attractive fight.

The biggest factor in this fight isn't even the weight or size, it's Pacquiao's right hook. He finally has a weapon to go against Marquez's straight right.

I was watching Pacquiao vs. Morales III the other day at my barbershop. Merchant was raving about how Pacquiao finally has a developed right hook. That fight of course took place before the second Marquez where Pacquiao won a controversial decision.

Bob is right. Why the hell would anyone want to see this fight? Marquez was trashed by Mayweather at WW and both he and his trainer said he was carrying too much weight. With that being said, what's the point of seeing him fight Pacquiao at WW right now? Marquez needs to prove he can fight effectively at the higher weights before he can get a fight with Pacquiao. Otherwise, Pac will be in a no win situation against Marquez. If Marquez doesn't want to prove himself at the higher weights, than he should just sign with Top Rank.

thats what was said before the second fight and by no means did he "fuk his azz up"..

lmfao...he took a one point victory...pretty much even in rounds...jmm at 140 is a harder fight than tony at 150....styles make fights...jmm has a strong style to counter what pac brings...its been shown twice already dont take my word for it

Arummakes good points. Pac's obviously a WW now. JMM is still a LW. Until he proves hs can fight at the higher weights, I say stick with the guys at 135 and MAYBE 140. PLenty of fights to be made.

Thanks for being a voice a reason. Pac and JMM just aren't in the same weight class anymore. Pac's showed he can fight the best at 147. JMM hasn't even shown he can fight at 140.

**** what Arum has to say ! Marquez Pacquio 3 sells it self ..Hey here is a fresh new idea make it at a catch weight

Arum is a as grimy as they come he doesn't care to have this fight because Marquez is not under his stable simple as that !

Marquez doesn't have to prove himself ,did Clotty ? He had just lost to Cotto yet he was more deserving than Marquez ?:patsch

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:Where's Patsys????

Before Marquez and Pac fought a rematch, he was of the opinion that Marquez had'nt earned a shot at a rematch with Pacquiao.
Like Arums thinking now, Patsys wanted Marquez to earn his shot by fighting Juan Guzman.:lol:

*******s like Patsys understandably were afraid for Pac to meet Marquez back then, and many even today would be nervous as heck to see Pac go against Marquez again.

Alot of you keep harping that Marquez is not a welterweight and could'nt compete against the roided one at 147 lbs........

......obviously this matchup would have to be fought at 140 lbs.....and if as Arum suggests, Marquez is unproven at 140 lbs for this fight to sell.....all he has to do is make this a USDA random testing fight for both fighters and the public would look at Pacquiao as being in the same boat as Marquez......"unproven while being legitly drug tested at these higher weights as well."

Arum could kill two birds with one stone in this scenario.
Even up the matchup in the publics mind with Marquez.......and at the same time calling out Mayweather Jr. by making the point "we're ready for the complete drug testting you're talking about."
