I just watched a bit of a couple of Martinez's fights there . 2 ko's both started from right uppercuts .That's his best punch's I think his uppercuts man .Here he is with the we fillipino Donaire I read this interview

Billy what's rickys power like read an earlier post saying he was destructive as an am,never seen it when I've watched him. Is it cos he boils himself down to super feather or is it still there?

Got tae give Burns some props sparring with LWW's and WW's .I read Martinez in't that big tho even compared to the we 115 pounder Donaire .I read Donaire should step up tho.

i have to agree with that, i know some great sparrers, but average fighters, though billy will know his man, sometimes the ocasion and making the weight take the edge of fighters, and then a step up in class as well, i would say if he can keep moving stay out of bother he'll get the decision at home, but martinez, i know, will be aware of this, good nights boxing though can't wait for it.:good

I have no doubt he has massive desire to win and no doubt he will be in awesome shape, but this has come when undesreved and a lot of people are going home dissapointed,i am afraid the closer it gets, the more i see Martinez winning handily. I really like Ricky and really hope i am wrong.

    But i am not.

Also, dont shout or call strangers dicks. Its not nice:good

I watched Cook Martinez yesterday. Burns needs to avoid brawling at all costs. He needs to do what he does best. Combo then move. I don't like the fact that the only shot Gomez had success with was the uppercut, and it appears to be the one shot Martinez most prefers.

Still I think both Simpson and Burns win.

I seen they Gomez Burns highlights as well mate .Yep man Gomez's uppercuts looked like hurtfull shots .He hit Burns with a good one and turned him in the ropes .Burns landed some good ones as well tho. Burns stopped Gomez in the ropes as well good stoppage .Think Burns should stay off them tho against Martinez because that's where Cook got iced as well he wasn't far off them .

i think burns has the skill to beat martinez, but its been years since he came farward throwing combinations, plus he throws the right hand then holds on for dear life,he will get a public warning in this fight for holding.
He goes backward all the time even against very poor opposition. In sparring ricky has always been great but in a real fight he wont fight he runs, put him in against realy good opposition and he folds,he has only fought 2 realy good fighters and lost badly, get some fire in your belly ricky because you will not get a better chance of winning a world title again,
ability wise you are probably better than martinez but martinez comes prepered for a war, will u stand or run, good luck.

Cook was unlucky in that fight man that was a good left hook in the second .Now can see why he tried to trade because the size of him .Againt Luevano tho man he got seriously hurt badly .Good fighter Cook just lacks a bit of heart man to come back and recover when he gets hurt I think .

i just hope that billy is spending enough time preparing him mentally for the fight. if they get that right then burns could win this.
