Yeah you might as well match him up with Mosley at 154 in the battle of Pac-May dissapointing opponents
Hear this folks, Clottey will never beat a good welterweight. Beating Judah was probably the best you will see of him. He just doesn't have the heart of a champion. You could see it in the fight with Cotto when he had him cut in the 2nd and never applied pressure. You could see it in the Margarito fight when he claims he hurt his hands and didn't do anything after the fifth. Against Manny with so much on the line he covered up for 12 rounds allowing Manny to throw punches without fear of a counter. IMO if you have 3 chances to win a title and come up as lame as he did then you will never be a champion!
I think Clottey's main problem is HBO not wanting to see his ass anymore, so basically the top fighters will avoid him mostly because of that...
That sucks but I'm sure that does play a large role, other than Clottey is usually ridiculously difficult to beat.
But margarito does?? Id think it very harsh indeed if we dont see Clottey in a big fight again. Clottey is a very good fighter, a long hard nights work for anybody, i thought he won the cotto fight. However against pacquiao i expected more, he has the talent and physical capabilities , but for whatever reason, i dont think he tried his best that night. Even still he came out in the best shape and looking more respectable in my opinion than any of pacs last 4 opponants before him as they all went out on their back. Clottey didnt have a scratch. He could be a great fighter, he just always seems to find a way to lose a fight he could have won
True. The pacquiao fight was the only time i can honestly say Clottey was truly beaten. And that was a fight in which i dont think he tried his best
Clottey is done he might as well and retire. He won't ever see a fight from either HBO or Showtime again. His only hope is ESPN who will probably show his fights.
Clottey has ****ed up not once or twice but three times. Neither Clottey or marg deserve good fights anymoar.
Exactly. But, also I think the big paycheck from Pacquiao won't do his career activity level any favors.
Big Josh is in a rough spot. Far too good to take on less seasoned fighters. On the flip side he has done far too much damage to his reputation for any named fighter to take the risk of fighting him. I hate it, but he will always be known as the guy Pac shut out.

He has definitely become the forgotten fighter @ 147 and for good reason. He looked terrible against Pac, just terrible. His own fault.
