    The Kirk Johnson I knew training at Curtis Cokes Home of Champions Gym in DallasTx
    would have boxed Vitali's ears off. The worst thing Kirk's manager ever did was take Kirk away from Curtis. Kirk lost interest & ballooned up in weight & was not in shape when he fought Vitali

    Lennox Lewis was the best HW champion since Ali. A barely 75% fit Lennox STILL kicked a 100% in shape Vitali's ass. Just look at Vitali's face. If Lennox had been 100% Vitali would have got slaughtered

    Yeah, I looked at Lewis' face when Rachman knocked him out. Lewis was out on the canvas! LOL! Vitali broke Lewis' nose, Lewis retired to keep from fighting Vitali, refused huge money. Lewis was a coward. Hell, Mirovich beat Lewis' arse, so did Mercer, McCall. Max Kellerman was sitting right behind Lewis' corner, said he had never seen Lewis flop down on stool like that, and that Lewis was finished. Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was cheated out of the WBC title that night. Vitali is kicking all your heroes arses. Tell Lewis to get some balls and fight Vitali, Vitali has been waiting for years! Where is Lewis? Where has be been? Vitali staggered Lewis more than once, was ahead on scorecards, Lewis' promoter signaled Lewis' doctor to stop the fight, ref did it with even looking at the cut. Angelo Dundee was outraged! He was one of the best cut men in boxing history, trainer Ali and Leonard.


    Klitschko-Peter webcast in USA

    The September 11 Wladimir Klitschko/Samuel Peter bout from Frankfurt, Germany, beginning at 5PM ET, will be streamed live in the United States on ESPN3.com. As for TV coverage, ESPN Deportes will air the fight on tape-delay at 8PM ET and ESPN will show a tape of the fight the next day at 4:30PM ET. “We are always looking for opportunities to deliver quality boxing matches on multiple platforms,” said Doug Loughrey, director of programming & acquisitions at ESPN. “We are pleased to present another world _title_ heavyweight bout to for United States-_base_d boxing fans.” The fight will be called by ESPN’s Brian Kenny and Teddy Atlas stateside.

    What the hell are you talking about? Kirk Johnson was supposed to fight the undisputed king Lennox Lewis but withdraw due to injury. That's how Vitaliy ended up fighting Lewis. Vitaliy replaced Kirk Johnson.

    It doesn't even require a source. This was the very next fight after Lewis. It's not plausible that he was an underdog when half the world thought, naively or not, that he would beat Lewis in a rematch.
