Shane post-fight said his neck was stiff which could've been a result of the testing. He probably wouldn't admit to it being the cause of him tiring out after two rounds to avoid damaging GBP's relations with Floyd. Pac said in an interview that the back of his neck hurt when he had to give blood two days before the First Morales fight. Maybe a connection there. :think
With all due respect, your rebuttal is weak and misguided. Your whole post is based on smoke screens and unconfirmed "he said she said" stuff. Nobody knows to what extent negotiations had taken place between both camps and I for one am not into the "second guessing" business or believing one camp over the other. My post was based on what I - with my own eyes and ears - observed and from that I formed an opinion. Floyd being on vacation can be spun however one chooses but I unlike you do not clutch at straws to make a spurious point for or against Pac or Mayweather being the principal cause for this fight not happening. And for those m****ers who would claim that I know nothing about Pac's culture I'd say stop jumping to f***king conclusions. At any rate it has no bearing on fact that Pac loves money just like any other fighter and the record shows that he always haggles for the king share of any purse that he's fighting for. When I last checked he was a prize fighter..... It's very possible that Floyd is concerned/weary/(pick whatever adjective suits you) of fighting Pac. But for me the situation is very simple. If you're clean and you have nothing to hide take the random test and remove any excuses or reason(s) for Floyd to not fight you. Now the Filipinos that I hang with also acknowledge this key point; they want Pac to bust Floyd's ass but realise that he will need to agree to random testing for this fight to take place. Simples... and Out
Del It's open that Pac agrees to that, it's just the question of protocol. I just can't fathom why people keep on saying he don't agree to random testing.
I think it's going a little too far to say he has disgraced the sport. Take it down a notch, damn! There have been boxers who have fought with loaded gloves, no pad in their gloves, took steroids, done criminal things in and out of the ring. Purposely hitting low, hitting after the bell, hitting after a fighter was down, attacked fighters after the fight was over, thrown racial slurs.......not to mention crooked promoters, etc. The hate for one person is out of control. Hell, i'm a floyd fan, but manny is getting a little too much hate as well. I don't think he is on roids, but his actions are a little suspect, but i'm pretty sure both sides have reasons they can't make the fight happen.....yet. They'll fight and it'll be big. It's all a big marketing ploy to make the fight even bigger. Floyd and manny are probably on a beach together laughing it up right now talking about how much money they are going to make next year.
I'm with you on this. I would say openly that I'm a Pac fan and just disappointed the fight didn't happen this year. I have a gut feeling this year would be Pac's last fight since he have another day time job and really serious about it. Disappointed in way that this particular fight would be a once in a lifetime thing, where 2 best fighters in the world being at same weight, at their peak and the most anticipated in the world, that even Wall Street Journal, of all papers, would cover.
so floyd himself doesnt :rofl if floyd feels he can school pac do you think he'll ask for that testing? why would he chose vacation over a chance of schooling the current best fighter in the world with a reward of at least $40M?atsch floyd has great chance of beating pac but not up to extent of schooling him.
