Barrera should've been DQed against J.M. Marquez.

This. He hit him again maybe because he didnt know the ref was counting a kd? Or He was just being a ******.

I actually felt MAB should have won that fight! But it was close and in no way a robbery. I just thought MAB did enough to win...espceially with the KD he didn't get credit for.

Are you freaken kidding me? What fight were you watching. This fight wasn't even close. JMM landed almost all of the flush, meaningful shots. He countered beautifully.

I'm not sure if you watched the fight if you think it wasn't close and if you think it was one sided. Both landed a good amount of punches and both had their fair share of rounds won. I thought MAB edged it by a round if he got credit for the KD.

You need to watch the fight again sir. Barrera's punches were pitter patter types and had little on them. JMM landed almost all the hard, flush, meaningful shots. Barrera was outclassed. I think a score of 8-4 was right. 7-5 is pushing it. No way a draw. No way Barrera won.

Barrera was not "outclassed" - that is a total over statement!

Marquez won a close fight but the majority of fans and media were aghast at how wide the scorecards were in his favor.

:good I was cool with JMM getting the Nod but I remember on my cards it was hella close and i gave MAB credit for the KD. But it wasn't a onesided affair that much is clear.

Definately worthy of a disqualification. But I'm glad it didn't end that way. It would have deprived JMM of a good victory.

i didnt see any pitter patter punches at all and it was a real close fight i think a draw wuda been the fairest score

Oh I see now your a lawyer? How the hell do you know what Barrera's intent was at the time of the knockdown? Just saying his intent was bad is meaningless. How do u know his intent was bad? You can't get in his mind and no one asked him about it at the post fight press conf. Since no one asked him that shows more than likely no one considered what he did to be a big deal.

You're right. If it had been extremely damaging and caused the fight to end, Barrera ought to have been disqualified.

No harm, no foul, so to speak. Marquez was fine and went on to earn the decision, so in retrospect the deduction was totally fine.

sorry to jump in on the 3rd page but i'm passionate about this fight:

1)should have been scored a knockdown
2)barrera waited for the ref to get his thumb out of his ass and call the knockdown
3)since the ref didn't call the knockdown (imo) barrera figured the ref considered marquez standing so he finished the knockdown with another punch
4)however, being that the ref ruled it a slip and barrera hit him, the deduction is warranted.

the brief pause before the follow up punch makes me think that barrera was waiting for the ruling, heard nothing and went for it

scoring the round a 10-8 barrera as it should have been made that a ****ing razor thin fight that really could have gone either way
