Put a £10 treble on Stephen Smith, Andre Dirrell and Devon Alexander to win their next fights, would get over £90 in return.

Has anybody had a look at the opening round of Football League games? I guess you should exercise caution early on in the season (the opening games especially) until the form settles down.

I'll be laying Hartlepool I think (away vs Rochdale)

I like Norwich at home to Watford in tomorrows televised game. I'll wait for the in-play though since it's on live.

Coventry are 13/10 to beat Portsmouth. I read that pompy dont have a full time goalkeeper and only have 13 players. Coventry arent world beaters though!!

Yeah Norwich and Coventry were the ones I was looking at. Think Norwich are going to do well this season, and Coventry tend to be a solid side at home. Dunno with Portsmouth mind you, no one's expecting them to do much this season and that could work in their favour.

Bristol City @ 4/5 at home to Millwall is a great bet for me. The place will be full of life after the James signing, Coppell is a very good manager especially at that level and Maynard is one of the best strikers in the division. Millwall newly promoted.

Wouldn't say that's a bad thing. I try to stay away from newly promoted teams for the first few weeks of a season as they tend to over-achieve early on.

You know something, I actually looked out for Millwall's fixture. I think they're a good side who'll do OK in this division this year. Bristol City away is a big ask though so I'll stay clear of this one. I can't call it with any degree of certainty. Good luck though:good

Good luck with the NFL bets lads - I've had a 50p bet so that I can follow your progress (hate looking for results of less popular sports). :thumbsup

I'm trying to steer clear of the English football for a few weeks yet but if I were to put my money down I'd be tempted by a Norwich, Reading double @ 1.75/1. :good

Anyone got a view on the Cloud Vs Johnson fight outcome? Cloud TKO/KO/DQ 2/1. Decision 11/10.

I'm favouring the decision but slightly worried by a combination of Johnson's age and Cloud's possible desire to make a statement. :?

If Clouds chin can take Johnsons best then Cloud will win this by UD ... Cloud i rate very highly and have him in a double with JMM from last week so eres hoping !

Clouds workrate will be decisive but he needs to box to a gameplan and stick with it ... Johnsons a legend but im thinking at 41 against the hungrier fighter could this be a telling factor ?

Dirrell beating Ward? Wouldn't take 9/1 on that alone.

Alexander looks to be great value even with the short price though.

Go with Alexander on points to add value.

    Can't see him stopping Kotelnik.

This is what has me worried. There isn't really much form so to speak and we all know age CAN hit a fighter over night. If it hits Johnson hard here we could see a stoppage . . . but the old romantic in me says that Johnson won't go out that way. :?:?

I'm split on this one as well.

Is Johnson as tough as Woods :think

He's 41 and had a **** load of hard fights..... Sportingbet were paying 7/4 on this when the market opened - obviously some clever dick lumped a load on and bet the market right down.

Then again Cloud will be ring rusty after another year off :think
