A mediocre fighter does not destroy fighters like Sergio Martinez, Cotto, Cintron, Lewis, Diaz, etc.(feel free to make an ass of yourself here and insert the always original "with or without concrete"? line)

Now to the thread question, Margarito's last two fights suggest that he might not be prime anymore!

After 15 years as a pro and with his style, he's definitely past his prime.

Yes, and i dont really see how its really in question....

The guy has been in grueling matches throughout his career, and Cotto despite losing the fight put a beating on Margaritos dome in those first 6 rounds, people act like because he wasnt visibly hurt that those shots somehow 'dont count'... believe me that fight took plenty out of Margarito, then add that Margarito goes on to get destroyed by Mosley?

We are not here debating wether hes 'shot' or not.... we are asking ourselves if hes PRIME, meaning, at his best.... how anyone can think Margarito is at his damn best is beyond me. Hes obviously past it.

Is he shot? No. Is he still a dangerous fighter? Probably... is he still semi Relivent? Yes he is. But the dude is not PRIME, and not even close.

Also, his last big win was TWO YEARS AGO.... just for a reminder.

A cheating mediocre piece of **** does. And please, Diaz, Lewis, and Cintron are mediocre at best themselves, and Martinez was but a regional prospect at the time.

His resume is hilarious now that you put it out there.

Hype jobs don't score wins consistently over top 10 ranked fighters, win multiple titles, and last this long in the sport. :patsch

Who knows how can you measure a cheaters prime?

I mean if some of his wins were assited with loaded gloves how can you determine when he peaked?

yes and not just since the mosley fight I saw a decline since the 2nd cintron fight. he just doesnt have that raw athleticism he once had when i saw him blasting away fighters like hercules kyvelos, sebastian lujan, cintron the first time, etc. he use to have the most devastating uppercuts in the game now he seems to be a plodder

edit: and yes i know those fighters may not be the best barometer of how good you are... but im judging him based on the way his body looked the way his body reacted and the way he punched. of course there was a loud thudding sound with every punch he threw (plaster) but still lol

Too early to tell. He didn't look great in his last fight from what I hear but he hadn't been in a ring for over a year.
