    Can it really be advantagous??

I would have thought it would create a weaker mindset when taken our of the comfort zone but Steve Collins used to swear by it....

    Your thoughts perhaps?

Sam Horton used a hypnotist before his recent fight with James DeGale. He was knocked out in the 5th.

My mother is a hypnotist and I can tell you now that it only works if you want it to work. But when it does, it's like a new lease on life. Basically whatever you want to be able to do or change about yourself, is immediately accesible. A new level of consciousness, if you will. One day, when we learn more about how our brains work and the superstitions about hypnotism cease, we'll all be better humans thru processes like hypnosis and meditation. It ain't voodoo and it ain't the work of the devil (as many Italians believe), it's one of the most important and precious things we can ever discover about the amazing human body..truth.

He didn't do much less in the 2nd and 3rd either... they should have hypnotised the judges, would've helped him a lot more I guess.

I dont think collins was hypnotised before the first Eubank fight though,he just wanted to give Eubank the impression he was so he could have a psyhcological edge over him by fight time.Collins said the fella who was supposed to have hypnotised him was just a psycologist who was helping him prepare mentally for the fight and give his confidence a boost.

^Yeah, you can't litterally be hypnotized WHILE boxing if this is what the guys claiming. That's just ludicrous..

most of ppl can be easily hypnotized and there is nothing to do with intelligence. Recommend you Derren's Brown book - quite funny and explains a lot. ... or just watch some vids on youtube of this guy.
