I dont want to be silly about this.

But it did seem a bit engineered.

But Haye did win the fight - and the scorecards reflected it.

But maybe there was heavy influence on making a "new heavyweight marketable star"

And I suppose it was engineered for Valuev to do the chicken dance in the final round and for Haye to break his hand?

I'm on the internet and I can still smell the bull**** from you two.

    Valuev is quite a **** fighter -

whats more, the same Bell who beat Mormeck was totally schooled by Adamek which shows beating Mormeck isnt as big trophy as it might look like. I also think Fragomeni is the best on his resume.

And do you believe that Haye would find Lebedev would be a tougher opponnet than Frogemeni was ?

    I do.

    The truth is

When Haye got to the top of the division - he didnt hang about.

He got the WBC / WBA titles - but that is not undisputed - he didnt get the IBF.

He got the paper WBO belt - but that was just a money fight for him against Enzo - easy meat.

There were some tough fights out there at Crusierweight for him but like I said he didnt hang about.

However - he could more than make up for that by fighting both the klitshcko brothers who are as tough as you can get.

But it seems Haye is not so keen now.

    Surprise surprise.

Sure, Lebedev would be the hardest challenge for Haye so far, but i think he would also manage to win. He is just a better boxer.

Alexeev is also a superior boxer compared to Lebedev (also compared to Haye)
    Lebedev KTFO´d him inside 2

As good as lebedev has looked he hasn't even won belt at cruiser yet(although I think
he will). Its easy to say maccaranelli has never been the same since haye beat him,so lebedev still got bit to prove before he's considered in the same class as haye.

Alexeev is unproven as a pro. Good performance by Lebedev but Alexeev looked like a deer in headlights, left his chin sticking out. The shock loss to that Argie (?) fella really took away Alexeev's confidence. He hasn't looked the same since.

I´d say Alexeevs defeat to Ramirez was quite comparable to Haye vs Thompson or Wlad vs Puritty.
Ramirez is a tough fresh guy who i think would give any current cruiser some trouble. Not sure how it would have went out if he had fought Haye at cruiser where he lacked stamina either.
I´m thinking high of Alexeev though. Hes actually a damn fast explosive combination puncher with great skillset and good defense and movements. Hes a way more natural gifted guy as Haye is for example. He failed to prove himself at top level up to now but i´m not going to write that kid off.
One thing Alexeev imo has never lacked of is confidence. Not to say he fighs quite snotty thinking opponents who cant match him skillwise should go down at his feet to hail him from what it looked like and Lebedev made him pay for that.
As for the fight with Lebedev i think Alexeevs plan was to start low and control Lebedev using his jab but he has never recovered from the three heavy lefts he has eaten before he really could get into the fight in the first round and Lebedev then took full advantage out of that. Alexeev never got any drive in his punches and lost the track. He looked bad and looked like he somehow wasnt well prepared to fight another southpaw but I think Lebedev deserves the full credit for that it was huge win.
He looks like a killer. His timing and accuracy of his left power shots is truely amazing. With Hayes habit to keep his hands low I dont see him surviving for too long he would get tagged badly

I think legacy wise Lebedev has surpassed Haye now at CW. It's hard to argue that Denis is not at least the second greatest ever CW now. Haye vs Lebedev? This is a good fight.

Perhaps a bold statement but never the less a factual statement. Let's look at the facts.

ATG's that have been utterly destroyed by Lebedev at CW.

    Roy Jones Jr.
This was a brutal KO by Denis against the p4p superstar. Roy was extremely lucky not to have picked up any serious injuries from this.

    [yt]?v=qaDE7u-WJOI[/yt]
    Almost inhuman power.

    James Toney.
This fight was not close at all. P4p superstar Toney took a savage beating here from start to finish. This was a sickening beating to watch.

    Beastly beat down.

The World champs that have been brutalized by Denis.

    Enzo Maccarinelli
This was a sickening KO that made even me wince. Enzo probably shold have retired after this mauling.

    [yt]?v=Zgz67-fEl4U[/yt]
    Hard to watch.

Marco Huck. Robbery of the century.

    This is a robbery!

This was a real black eye on boxing. Denis dominated this fight from start to finish but got robbed blind in Germany.

    Other notable wins.

    Silgado.
Silgado bringing his notorious and dangerous Colombian style was never in this fight. Denis mauled him early.

    [yt]?v=Z-8NQL0C7RE[/yt]
"You can't take these type of blows."

The brutal punching southpaw Shuan Cox. Another early massacre win for Denis.

    [yt]?v=BcnNp_OnwOo[/yt]

I think Denis has a serious shot of becoming the number 1 ATG cw once he brutalizes Jones. I have him second to Holy at the minute. No one else comes close to these two. Nobody can say he's not at least top 2 after the Jones fight.
