BN rank all British fighters, and include Irish and those not eligable for the British crown, but are British based. All rankings are subject to differing opinions and they have done a fair job. I thought I would post a couple of the anomolies for discussion on here. The HW top 10 has the usual suspects and you could argue over the places of 1 or 2 of them, but just outside the top 10 is interesting. Carl Baker is at 12, then Scott Gammer, Tom Dallas then Larry Olubamiwo at 15. Very odd. I wonder who worked that out? A cruiser Enzo is a 1, but no Herbie Hide at all At LHW Tony Bellew is at 7 below Ovill McKenzie, Bob Ajisafe, Courtney Fry, Matthew Barney & Darren McIntosh. Cleverley is at 1. I would have Bellew at least 3 or 4. There are anomolies in other divisions, but I will stop the thread at this point.
They must have done it on wins rather than potential. Baker has a win over then reigning British champion Danny Williams (albeit in Prizefighter) and that's better than anything Larry or Dallas have achieved..yet.
Awful. How the hell Bellew is no. 7!atsch He's without doubt in the top 2 and yes it's fair to say Cleverly is ahead of him at the moment but I doubt that will be for too long
I have to do it manually to avoid a ban for cutting and pasting off the BN site Haye Sexton Rogan Chisora Sosnowski Harrison Skelton Sprott Fury McDermott Coleman Barret Carl Baker Scott Gammer Dallas Larry Dave Ferguson David Price Damian Campbell Swaby Danny Hughes - 47 Misc Journeymen (I have run out of steam)
Cheers :good It's a pretty flawed list. Sosnowski below Chisora? Sprott hasn't had a big win for over 3 years (Gammer is the same, Skelton is in a similar situation), yet is still ranked above the likes of Fury? Olubamiwo beats the guy right below him, yet Dallas is ranked ahead of him? Campbell above Hughes/Towers? Are they still rating Swaby based on his win over Enzo? Anyway, just my opinion :yep
there rankings were pretty crap. Kosaros does a much better job http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156599&page=142
Towers didn't appear in the HW ratings at all.... BN is always full of errors.... I reckon Swaby is where he is as he is the Midlands Area and British Masters HW champ
got this from someone at boxing new Re the thread on our ratings, please make it clear Towers and Hide are not listed because neither has a British license. As for Bellew, we rate more on results than ability and potential. Ajisafe beat McKenzie who won Prizefighter and beat Boyle. McIntosh beat Barney, Oakey and Spartacus. If Bellew beats Ajisafe he'll shoot up.
