According to Richard Shaefer (on ESPN), the fight sold between 150-200k. That's pretty good and they made a fair amount of money on it.

I'm happy for the fighters, of course, but I'm also happy that Golden Boy may have learned something: People will pay for a good undercard. There's no way I would have bought that PPV for the main event, but the overall strength of the four fights is what lured me in.

Give us more! Arum is now talking about putting Montiel/Donaire on the same card with Cotto/Chavez, another situation where the undercard might determine whether I buy the PPV. It's not that complicated.

NIce for who? While it was the best undercard in years, that fight was supposed to be on HBO. How do you have the first fight on HBO and charge for the second one. PPV's on bull**** cards with only one good fight is the reason boxing won't ever be mainstream again.

I think I read where they needed 100k to start making money, so it appears they easily did that. You can't expect every fight to generate 1m buys, nor is that necessary. I bought it and enjoyed it.

Of course, the Mosley/Mora undercard looks awful despite a total **** show of a main event. :cus

The PPV Numbers did well over what was expected. With that being said - they did EXCELLENT!!!!!!!

From a Business Point - they spent about $4 million on putting the card together and they far exceed that with the PPV Numbers and Gate. Therefore - overall - it was a major success. They promised if the Card does what they expected or more - they would continue putting on Strong Cards and not just Big Main Events. Let's hope they keep their word.

Side Note - Jacobs got paid around $200,000 and Pirog got $50,000. Guess he was mad about his purse and bust Jacobs ass.

True, but I would expect a decent result from JMM if he "THINKS" he's worth 50/50 vs Pac. What did Pac do against an invisible guy like Clottey, 700k? 700K vs 150K... yea that sounds like JMM deserves 50/50 bro. Imo, he needed to get into the 500K area to start making any demands on splits.

That's just negotiation talk. That fight isn't happening anyway, but you bet your ass Marquez would accept 40/60 if that's what it took to get the fight.

Pretty good considering the main event was not really a competitive fight from the get go. We all knew JMM would win a decision since Diaz would try to box.

The rest of the matchups were good but all turned out to be one sided other than the Jacobs-Pirog fight.

On paper it looked great but it was a lackluster card despite the names.

However i hope they make more cards like this where we get at least good matchups on paper.

All you *******s who just happened to mention Pac on a threat not related to him.
This card blew Pacs last card out of the water so u shouldnt really be complaining. Also dont complain when PBF asks for more money since he has always outsold Pac. Hypocrites.
