i know alot of people were picking shane to beat floyd, but now in hindsight, those same people are saying floyd was cherry picking.
Hours? Took 3 minutes. You claim he cherry picked him, yet he's never fought anyone as good as Shane.
Figures. Before the fight is signed, Mosley is Mayweathers toughest challenge to date, the best fighter he's ever faced. Then when he actually signs to fight him, you pick Mayweather to win and claim Mosley has little chance. Only further cements my point that you had an agenda pre set.
Thats PBF for you. If he notices you look too good he won't fight you. If you are on a long layoff he will fight you. Look at the Oscar fight. he fought DLH when he was off for a while and was an inactive fighter. Floyd was all for a rematch and he and DLH were working on it. But what happened? Floyd saw the DLH match with Steve Forbes. DLH looked alot better, he did not look so rusty, he was using his jab throughout the whole fight, he was on his feet throwing combinations. Simply he thought DLH looked much better than when he fought him and simply decided I am not going to take the risk that the DLH he saw against Forbes will show up instead of the DLH he fought in the 1st fight. Then all of a sudden after the DLH/Forbes fight the rematch talk died because PBF suddenly wanted retirement. Thats Floyd for you. No matter what people say I think DLH looked very good against Forbes. People complained he got hit too many times, but that is not so. People complain he did not get the ko, but he needed to get 12 good rds in more than he needed a quick ko, due to his periods of inactivty. Plus Forbes was an excellent defensive fighter and really just wanted to say he went the full 12 w.DLH.
Is telling the truth that Shane is already in his tail end of his career at 38 NOT TELLING THE TRUTH?! or do you want me to say that SHANE IS PEAK AT 38?!:rofl I give more credit for the two previous boxers who beat him twice when he was much younger... If you believe SHANE IS PEAK at 38 so be it!:!:
What was obvious was that GBP had more financial gain for Floyd (win or lose) to fight Shane than to fight Pacquaio. I would not be surprised if GBP torpedoed the 1st negotiation for Pac-Floyd and paid Berto to step aside, corner Floyd into fighting Shane, keep the fight inhouse.
you're saying...Shane + vacation = duck what about now....Floyd + vacation = This content is protected
Yeah they definitely had more to gain with the Mayweather Mosley bout...but he was implying that the bout was fixed, I don't agree with that at all. Also, I'm pretty sure it was Berto's decision to cancel the bout with Mosley...I don't think GBP paid him step aside money, but I think they definitely took advantage of the situation...as in getting a deal sorted between Mayweather and Mosley at the earliest possible time.
Are you ****ing kidding me? I mean seriously do you think people here haven't seen that fight and don't know **** about the sport? Oscar looked horrible against Forbes, he was busted up and looked slow and drained. If anything it turned PBF off by how bad Oscar looked in that fight.:deal In the future have a clue as to what you're talking about before making such a ridiculous post.
With that kind of logic...IT IS SAFE TO SAY the WW is a weak division. I'm not arguing that Shane is not rated #1 for the WW division. I'm just saying that it's a weak division since the RATED number is NO longer in his peak and still considered #1
