Worst KO ever. Briggs should've been disqualified.

44 year old Mercer was controlling the fight with his jab, Briggs had no answer to that, then Briggs held him, turned him around, pushed Mercer against the ropes and rabbit punched him - if that's a legit KO then I don't know..

Briggs is a big HW, one of the biggest Vitali is going to fight. Briggs went to a war with Lewis (that was an entertaining fight), but both men were in their prime at that time. It's been 3 years since Briggs went further than 1 round, so I question his stamina big time. He ain't gonna slugg it out against Vitali like he did against Lewis. He better do his job in the first few rounds, otherwise he would be shark food again...

It would change few or nothing. Remember Vitali is on his way out of the game and the only things that makes him stay and train are all those years lost with ijuries and the fact that he is accomplishing his dream of being World Champ alongside his younger brother Wladimir. Briggs is on his way out too since he can't get in shape to fight two HW top level championship fights like it was proven against ""The White Wolf" and Ibragimov. So if Briggs happens to pull out the upset like he did in the 12th round of his WBO title shot, nothing changes... Vitali retires sooner and Briggs is to retire sooner or later.

I doubt it. More likely, Briggs gases in the first four and it takes Vitali the next five to stop him.

I feel the early KO is likely. No matter what, this fight ends in KO. I am salivating at the odds. If the odds were 5-1 or less on a KO for either guy, I'd jump on it.

Vitali -KO10 Sosnowski, Vitali UD12 Johnson...Briggs TKO 12 Liakhovich, Ibragimov UD12 Briggs. I'm not betting too strongly on either of these old sods.

Briggs' reach is 80 inches and not 84 btw.

Vitali has either a great chin or a great defense, or maybe both. He is the only top HW in HW history who has never been knocked down in his whole career.

Sosnowski and Johnson have better chins than Briggs. Also Johnson fought in a defensive shell all night.

Ibragimov beat Briggs by outboxing him. Vitali can put Briggs out.

Briggs will gas somewhere and Vitali will destroy him when he does.

Fight is gonna end in KO bro.

I was always a massive Briggs fan growing up. He lost his way a bit and perhaps didn't live up to his potential. He is a good athlete and has power, speed and a fairly solid chin. In terms of this fight though something keeps reminding me of when McCline beat him and just how lethargic he looked. hope he goes in there thinking he can't win on point so I'll just try and take his head off from the get go.

Name ten HW's in history that are harder to hit than Vitali?

Ali supposedly was the hardest to hit ever, yet Douglas came close to outpointing him Cooper landed a great flush shot Frazoer landed repeatedly, none of these would land serious punches on Vitali.
