if i be honest i think that kessler will outpoint him for a few rounds an then abraham will catch him cold when he times him, the dude got underated power
Abraham doesn't have under rated power, only by those who haven't seen him and Kessler has a solid chin.
good point, but you have to ask yourself has kessler being in with someone who posseses good timing with power of abraham, this is whatmakes it hard to call
I'm with you.. I believe there is bit small step from Froch and Abraham and up to Kessler... Kessler has a big problem against boxers with great speed, and i'm not gonna put Abraham in that category...
I'm a fan of Kessler and have been for many years, a very likeable guy as well, but I don't think Abraham has good timing on his power shots, he couldn't catch Dirrell with power shots until Dirrell began to gas out. However, as I've continually stated, Abraham is perhaps in the top 3 P4P one punch KO fighters, but he won't catch Kessler that way imo. Kessler has an extremely powerful right uppercut, which sadly, he hasn't thrown ONCE in last 3 fights, he caught Calzaghe twice with them, the 2nd one had Calzaghe blowing heavy, and Kessler's left hand is like a piston the way he pumps it out. Kessler has problems with slick, technically sound boxers, ala Calzaghe, against Ward he had problems with the unorthodox style and the dirty tactics. Of course Abraham has a punchers chance, no doubt about that, I just think Kessler is more polished in every department.
exactly dirrel is very mobile and fleet footed but kessler will be there to hit which will only make his timing better, he only has to stun kessler by the ropes and unleash on their and he would get a stoppage. overall though kessler is the better boxer
Arthur Abraham has phenomonal one-punch power, and yet, guys like Shannon Taylor and Lujaun Simon went the distance with him. Eastman went the distance with AA, but Miranda stopped the same version of Howard in 7 rounds. Ayala came close to making the distance, but young David Lemiex stopped Ayala right quick. Arthur's one-punch power is not over rated. His ability as a KO artist has always been over rated. There are many fighter who do not have AA's brute power, but have higher KO ratios against generally better opposition. Guys like Froch, Kessler, Pavlik, and others, can knock you out a dozen different ways. If they so much as buzz an opponent, they usually close the show pretty shortly there after. Arthur has to land one of about 4 different punches: uppercut, a big looping left of right, or that sweet little straight right. He has difficulty landing any of those shots against a variety of styles. Two years ago I would have said, without hesitation, that Kessler has the right style to drive AA back into a corner and suck the life out of him. These days I'm not so sure.
I think Kessler puts the rounds in the bank early ( but thats a given against Abraham) before an almighty struggle erupts in the later rounds. I give Kessler the benefit of the doubt and think he holds onto a UD, you can see the force in which Froch hit him and Kessler didnt look hurt.
well from one Kessler has a better defence that Froch. plus Kessler took Froch's best shots and never blinked. I just don't think Abraham can stop him.
