Why doesn't Floyd capitalize and fight 4 times a year?

If he fought 4 times a year he would be accused of padding his resume with bums, kind of like JCC Jr.

That goes for all of the top boxers btw, not just Mayweather.

actually he wouldnt seen as there is enough high level opposition in and around his weight class like williams, berto, martinez, pacquioa, bradley ect can hardly say he's padding his record with these names especially considering the kind of opposition he's used to fighting

For a guy that wants to make money it makes no sense at all.

Maybe it takes a long time to assess just how much a fighter has left before he fights them.

I really cant tell you why he wouldnt.. only he knows the answer and could say for sure. Anything else is just heresay and purely speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt

 

No top fighter fights 4 times a year anymore...why is floyd the only one who gets crucified for not fighting EVERYONE...has manny even defeneded his 140lb title? u kno 140, one of the two or three deepest divisions in boxing...i swear its just like when he beat corales and castillo, people complained that he didnt fight frietas and casamayor AFTER THE FACT, what fighter cleans out divisions anymore? A realistic goal for our top fighters is that they beat a couple of the top fighters in a division...when floyd says that stuff about being the greatest i guess people dont realize he is saying it as a competitor, as a competitor u want to think u are the best

 

The main reason he doesn't fight 4 times a year, and gain more money, etc...is probably because of his hands. It's alrite saying he gets hit flush X amount of times during bouts, but if he can't land flush because his hands are damaged, whats the point?

If he fought Bradley or Alexander he would be accused of dragging people out of the weight group they are comfortable in like he was with Hatton.

If I was him I'd fight 4 times a year to rake the cash in, 2 big fights in Vegas and another 2 against lesser fighters in different countries in between like the UK, Germany, Dubai etc.

He made a comment about how often he fights on one of the 24/7 episodes and he said his fights are like events that need building up, I suppose he has to take into account that fighting so often would make the demand for his fights drop.

it actually was on topic, because i was saying that if we do this to one fighter then why not to every top fighter. i dont see many threads discussing pacs choice of opponents, and if there are all it turns into is "u ***** ***gots are butthurt etc etc"
