Why doesn't Floyd capitalize and fight 4 times a year?

It's ok to STRIVE to be the best...but you don't ****ing claim of being the best, cuz then you are just being a douche. You are disrespecting SRR and Ali's accomplishments by saying you are better than them. You ever hear Kobe SAY he is better than Jordan? But he definitely works hard to prove to people that he can be mentioned in the same breath as Jordan. As a competitor you compete and let people judge you on your greatnes. You don't ****ing retire to avoid tough competition and come back to claim you are the greatest after beating a fat Marquez. Face it, Floyd's just a douchebag. Really no other way of describing that guy.

if he fought 4 times a year he wouldn't make 25M per fight or anywhere near that

i understand where u are coming from, but people need to learn to seperate "Money Mayweather" from Floyd Mayweather...Money is the character u guys hate, but its a marketing scheme intended for this purpose...and what proof do u have that he retired to avoid tough competition? that statement is clearly out of dislike for him...the fact of the matter is that the two people that everyone claims he ducked (margarito and cotto) he actually was willing to fight and he even OFFERED margarito a fight..people just spew **** they hear.

Ok, you're right, I don't have proof that he retired to avoid them. But I just find it ridiculous that this guy tends to disappear when the competition is at its greatest. Again WW was hot when he first retired. And now with his vacation when Pac is at the door step. I mean if he was really a competitor he would be salivating at the thought of beating these guys. I mean, afterall he does have the potential to do so. And as a business man...C'mon! An undefeated Cotto vs him would have been HUGE. And it doesn't get any bigger than him vs Pac. I just don't understand this guy.

How would he justify fighting four times in one year and none of them being against Pac?

Four fights a year is too much for elite fighters like Floyd Mayweather. It will numb casual fans because it's a national or even international event (not speaking of just Floyd Mayweather in that sense). I can see him fighting twice a year.

What you on about.....i dunno why boxers fight less nowdays. As long as they were good opponents, i would say, 'wow heres an old skool fighter, who actually likes to get into the ring'.

I would give him props. Though i'm not just pointin out FM all boxers nowdays don't fight enough IMO.

They may not have anything to do with how often he fights...but your just going to ignore the fact he has had hand problems before? This sport requires you to throw punches, preferably hard punches over 12 rounds...your saying this can't be a reason why he doesn't fight 4 times a year? Bollocks.

You know, after Pac fights Margo his career PPV numbers will exceed Floyd's. People will always say "Floyd sells more PPV per fight" but thats normal when you don't fight as often.
