WHo do you guys got here:think Im thinking even a green Michael Moorer might handle Saad. However if Saad takes him to deep waters he can stop Moorer. It all depends on if Moorer can inflict enough punishment on Saad to stop him or just wear him down for a late stoppage, although that is a big if. I think Moorer had used his boxing skills more as he moved up but he pretty much relied on his big power at LH.

Matt at his best would of had far far too much for the 175lbs version of Moorer, it may be a borderline mismatch...

Although Moorer's power and potential probably sneaks it out of that category of fight.

Saad holds pretty much every advantage here. I can't see it going beyond 7-8 rounds, if even that. Different classes of fighter.

Great fight and you can't blink.

I just like the resilience Saad had prior to the Qawi fight. He'd be on the brink of going but would just dig deep and find a way to win. But Moorer is going to land a ton of punches in there and Saad's defense is no match for an accurate southpaw like Moorer. I think he'd literally land 70% of his punches before getting caught and stopped.

Marvin Johnson and Moorer would be entertaining as well. and throw Lopez and Galindez in there as well as EM Muhammad. One thing I do know is MM is not going thru that level of opposition without losses and I just don't think he'd have many wins.

I think Sadd would stop Moorer in the late rounds... 11th on.

At LHW? I would take Saad any day. But it would have to be a Saad at the top of his game.

Many of the Lt. Heavies from the 70's and 80's, even the non-champs, would be favored over Moorer in my book. Amazing depth in that era.

I see M. Moorer being superior to Saad M. in everything except the chin department........ Saad was tuff as nails, but Moorer was not just a wicked 175 pound puncher, but also a technician....... I see Moorer getting to Saad late and scoring the TKO.......

Moorer was as basic a stand-up puncher as they came. A faded Leslie Stewart was smacking him around prior to getting tagged. If anything Saad was the far superior and more varied technician, which he gets criminally underrated for today by many. You need only watch his first fight with Conteh to see how skilled and disciplined a boxer he could be. He exhibits excellent boxer-puncher skills in the first Yaqui Lopez fight as well.

I still see Moorer of 1989 kayoing Saad of '79 in a wicked fight of attrition.... Moorer hit much harder than the skilled Conteh and was on par with the hard hitting Lopez......

I see Moorer as the better fighter overall........

Saad would kill this clown in 9-13 rounds, the only chance Moorer would have if this was the heavily faded Saad from '82 on.

Saad would spark Moorer in an awesome fight, can't see any advantages for Moorer here. Moorer would do no better than Marvin Johnson did in his 2nd fight with Saad (which was closer to Miracle Matthews prime than the first)

Saad was just flat out better, though I do rate Moorer as a H2H force at light heavy.
