Old time fighters who would have been acused of taking steroids today

It seems that modern fighters are somtimes acused of using steroids on the basis of prety circumstantial evidence.

I think that there are a lot of fighters from the period before steroids were available, who would almost certainly have faced such acusations today.

Lets have some names.

Lets say that steroids were invented in 1880.

 

Henry Armstrong

 

Jeffries definitly. Probably Fitzsimmons too.

 

Jeffries, and the original Joe Walcott had all time builds are were stronger than anyone at their weight.

 

Kid Lavigne probably too.

 

Carpentier and Ted Kid Lewis

 

People might have accused Carnera of juicing. Harold Johnson was an impressive physical specimen.

Moore and Walcott would have been suspected due to their longevity. Walker carried his power into the heavyweight ranks, which certainly might have raised suspicion.

 

they still cheated in other ways that posibly gave as much as an advantage.
