He is better off at 154 at this point. That said, Pac should be fighting Williams and not Margarito given Williams already beat Margarito and Margarito has already been KO'd, caught with plaster, and has no leverage at 154 other than buying his weigh-in because of Arum.

I am saying Pwill says he can make 147, his promoter says he can make 147. They have stated they would fight both Manny and Mayweather.

Looking at 147 he would be the most credible opponent for either of these guys and definitely better than margarito.

Why is this difficult to understand?

so you honestly believe that shane, floyd, pacman, cotto, berto and clottey all avoided williams?

could it not just be that he wanted to move up? i mean he says he couldnt get the big fights at 154, yet kolle phillips and wright are all big fights?

    give it a rest.

It was out there during negotiations. I asked NBA about it. It is in the threads. He never answered.

    stop!

a win over margo and quintana are not the most quality wins, especially considering they where OVER 2 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!

    he chose to move up.

you cannot honestly believe that cotto, berto and clottey also avoided him? so 6 people ran from williams? he is the common factor.

How many ways to I have to state this to you do you understand. I am saying right now at 147, regardless if you think pwill can make the weight or not,

Paul Williams is the best opponent for either May or Pac currently available.

he probs saw that espn rank him as #3p4p. he dont follow the sport. oitherwise he would not think beating wright makes him a 154 champion. especially when the guy hadnt fought at 154 for 4 years, and hadnt won a fight for 3 years!

Are you kidding? And what has Pac done in the middleweight division to earn himself a shot at a MW title?? At least Pwill has campaigned at 147 before, where he beat the guy Pac is facing in November.

You throw in Pwill's P4P status, his win over Sergio, Marg, Winky, and Cintron and the Pac-Marg fight looks like a crime. It's not even arguable. Fact: Pac SHOULD be fighting guys near or in the top ten P4P list. And Floyd SHOULD be fighting twice a year, preferably Pwill in the Winter if not Pac.

Pac, Shane, and Floyd for sure as far as Williams calling them out and them ignoring him.

Pac goes on to fight a Post-KO'd Cotto who lost to Margarito. Williams beat Margarito. How is he not a better opponent?

Pac went on to face Clottey, how is Williams not a better opponent given Clottey lost to both Cotto and Margarito?

Shane fought Margarito after Margarito already lost to Williams, how is Williams not a better opponent?
And I'm not positive on the call-outs with time-frames, but Shane did go the rest of last year after Margarito without a fight because Pac was avoiding him so why not fight Williams?

    Floyd, well...it's Floyd.

Clottey, no. I think Clottey said he would fight.
    Berto was a non-issue.

In the end, it may come down to Pay vs. Risk...on all sides.

:patsch You are sorely misinformed. Paul has been begging to get in the ring with Cotto and Shane for three years now.

I find it amazing that these guys can discredit these high quality wins..especially martinez who is now considered the lineal MW champ and say that he doesnt deserve a shot at the best fighters in the world at 147. :silly
