Primo did in fact have acromegaly, a condition which tends to shorten life expectancy. (Primo died at 60 after a period of failing health. Jess Willard, on the other hand, did not have acromegaly, and lived a long healthy life, dying at 86.)

    As Duodenum says.

If you google acromegaly, then do an image search, you will see a few people who look like Carnera.

I have "Carnera-Shark 2" from '33....... Carnera bounced off the ropes in round 6 and got Sharkey comin' in with an uppercut that layed-out Jack like a sleeping bag....

We've debated before as to Carnera's title win over Sharkey being legit..... Well, it does look legit to me cuz I have the tape of the fight and its in pretty good viewing order...... Carny's uppercut was a thing of beauty........

I was eyeballing photos' of Louis Ferrigno from his prime of 1977 / '78 when he was like 26 years old and 270 pounds of ripped muscle getting ready to be "The Hulk" on TV, and his 1993 comeback to body-building at age 42 just a little earlier........ Lou Ferrigno was actually bigger and even badder at age 42 and a listed 303 pounds of ripped muscle mass........ He was HUGE!!!!

Bernard Hopkins at 47 is amazing. Holyfield as well. Vitali and Wlad are pushing 40 and they look good tooo.

its not too hard to imagine "boxers" to be in good shape cause of the fact the training involved. I only do pull ups, dips etc and most people think i spend my life in the gym!
