This is an intelligently approached blue-collar performance by Kotelnik. While Glen Johnson took the volume tact, Kotelnik is using the constant pressure and timing strategy, being patient with his punches and erring in favor of accuracy and crispness rather than workrate. Alexander is not using his own power, and it may be that he simply can't employ it while backing up as is true with many boxers. Alexander steps in and slaps to the sides of Kotelnik's body, and lands a good straight lead left. Kotelnik keeps storming the ramparts, and blocking on his way in en route to landing hard combinations.

This is the best I've ever seen Kotelnik look. Which isn't saying much since I haven't seen much of him.
