It was a close but clear fight, Kotelnik threw less, but landed more, its the kind of boxing Mayweather gets lauded for, and he was on the front foot!!! Lederman kept talking about effective punching, Kotelnik used effective punching, Alexander's was innefective! Had the fight scored a majority win for DA, or even had it a point here or there, with differing judges scores, it could have fooled us fans. 116-112 on all 3 tells us all we need to know though! There is no way each of those judges could have seen that fight the exact same way, given it's closeness, never mind the exact same way for Alexander! THE single GREATEST ROBBERY i have EVER SEEN!!!
Big alexander fan but kotelnik was the better man tonight. This fight was hopkins calzaghie all over except alexander landed a few more clean shots then calzaghie.
Sadly this is the truth. The same ones who swear up and down Alexander won are the biggest Floyd Mayweather fans. Translation: dumb mother****ers.
Jordz is trying to tell me on anothe thread that Alexander one and it was close. no way was that a close fight on my card, Kotelnik should be demanding a rematch.
i think it was close. personally, i think the fact that there were HUGE expectations for alexander are clouding judgements. he looked like **** and kotelnik looked WAY better than expected. true. but round by round, 7-5 alexander or 8-4 alexander is fair
I couldn't believe Lederman's card! And the logic he had was even worse. By his analysis of the fight, Alexander could have just danced around in circles, swinging & hitting nothing and still been ahead on the cards. But we all knew that Don King Promotion + Hometown fight + Hyped-up champ looking for big payday = Kotelnik needed a knockout to get a draw.
