Kotelnik threw and landed WAY more punches than Hopkins. As a matter of fact, Kotelnik threw more than Calzaghe according to the punch stats.

Kotelnik was definitely busy enough, it was just a straw man argument by Lederman to justify his crappy, biased card.

I scored the fight for Alexander, 115-113. Alexander landed only 20 fewer punches, swept the first 4-5 rounds and outhrew Kotelnik by 400 punches.

But I'll also readily admit I hate anyone with a skin color lighter then Forrest Whitakers neck.

haha:lol: doesn't matter. that's not a factor i'll say. i maintain that if those guys fought on some random undercard, scores would be different. EVERYONE expected that fight to be a wipe out. it wasn't, it was a tough brutal fight in which kotelnik took probably 5 rounds.

the fact that it was way tougher than expected MAY be clouding scores in that close, non dominant rounds are given to the challenger

I can count on 2 hands how many punches calzaghie landed in the first 7 rounds of that fight. Eitherway kotelnik won the fight! Not even alexanders mom thinks he won that fight. Then again, she aint racist.

BUT round by round, what are the scores?

if i win the first 7 clearly, but get outlanded by a ton in the last 5, do i not win 7-5? scoring question here

I frankly don't get the controversy. I thought Alexander was winning and winning pretty wide throughout the fight. He outworked Kotelnik pretty clearly in most of the rounds, imo. I am sure the "robbery" brigade will jump all over me, but I've probably been scoring fights since before most of 'em were born!

He'll probably be repremanded for being the only guy to speak up and mention that Kotelnik probably wasn't going to win a decision in St. Louis.

Or, as Kotelnik's probably calling it now, St. Screw Us.

Well you're def right about Harold needing to step down. His score was worse than the official scoring. I personally thought Kotelnik won by maybe 1 point, but I'd be able to accept a draw or even an Alexander win by 1 point. We've seen some shady scoring over the years but I do believe that Kotelnik deserved the W.

I think Lederman had a pretty far off score in the Mayweather vs. Hatton fight too.

If you think alexander won you must be a racist MFer! Nothing else to it. Everyone in my house thought alexander had more skills than khan and bradley. We all were rooting for alexander but have to call it the way i see it. Volume punching at air and on the gloves do not score any points in my book. Kotelnik landed the cleaner and more effective punches.

Kotelnik had to know going in that he would have to knock Devon out three different times, each with a long count to get the nod in St. Louis. Still though, disgraceful.
