Kotelnik landed only 20 more punches but was outthrown by 400. What a robbery!

The fact that you can't admit you were wrong about calling Alexander the man at 140 after knocking out Urango reeks of stupidity.

I'll admit Alexander did not look crisp tonight. But he was fighting a very tough fighter who was stylistically difficult for him.

However your argument was still that of 10 year old. Maybe if you had the ability to express yourself more intelligently I would have listened. :thumbsup

There is a pack mentality among boxing fans. As I was watching this fight, it looked to me like Alexander pretty clearly outworked Kotelnik in the vast majority of rounds, and I thought the three judges cards were right on the money, frankly.

Alexander didnt land anything? So thats why Kotelniks face was red and puffy a mere 4 rounds into the fight?

He dominated the first 4 rounds of the fight with his jab. Once his activity dropped Kotelnik came on, but he still had some successful rounds later in the fight tht edged him a decision.

Kotelnik was using te high guard to great effective, but Alexanders punches were still getting through. Again he only landed 20 more punches, yet was outthrown by 400.

Sounds like you had biased eyes for this fight like most when a young American fighter is defending his strap.

Yeah? That's why when you were talking about Alexander's "skills", and not actually naming any outside of his jab, and I actually made a post talking about all his flaws (reaching with the left, hands low, moving straight backwards), you stopped responding to my posts? I guess I forgot that the only way to make intelligent conversation with JoyBoys was to say things like "Skillz pay the Billz".

I saw Alexander's head snap back time and time again. I saw him on the ropes getting pounded by hard, effective punches. I saw him hit air and gloves. He has more power than Kotelnik, of course Kotelnik's face got beat up. That doesn't mean he landed the better punches. Next excuse.

Lets back up and get everything in perceptive.

It is hard just to get a close decision in America when you're a European fighter (ex: Strum/DLH) period...now add the fact that hes fighting in Devon's hometown in front of 10,000 people and was out worked by a large amount. Come on when you're fighting in that type of situation you have to work extra hard to get the nod from the judges.

Now that being side I think Kotlenk did a very nice job and I would to see him fight again, but he DID lose the fight....maybe a draw. I base that off Devon's work rate alone. Yes he landed more and hurt him a little, but the work rate was not there. If he would have match the work rate of Devon then I would have called this a robbery.

The 4 round scorecard was ridiculous though. It was a hell of alot closer by that.

I just remember so awed with how unintelligent you sounded that I stopped responding to you and started arguing with Jack.

Alexanders jab was excellent tonight. His one two three however wasnt. But again Kotelnik is a much better defender then Bradley. However Khan who uses the same style would worry me greatly.

As for Alexander moving straight backwards, his circling movement is what saved him in this fight. If he would ahve just moved straight back he would have been outboxed cleanly. NAmely his athleticism saved him.

Agreed with the fight portion. However when you look at a hometown fighter in Germany not dropping a decision in 99% of their fights. America is no where close to Europe.

Kotelnik was outworked massively, and until the lat 2-3 rounds, the punch stats were largely even. Not a robbery.

Michigan Warrior makes good sense. Hopkins did lose to someone who outworked him with slaps.

Kotelniks lack of power saved him.
