Alexander controlled only one aspect of this fight.....workrate. That's it. Kotelnik on the other hand, had better offence (more accurate and effective punches), better inside game, better defence, and generally looke alot more comfortable in there.
Poll results tell the story. Except for a small vocal minority, every knows what time it was tonight.
I know...thats why I gave the example of workrate can win bouts, Pacquiao clearly outlanding Clottey to win the bout. If Alexander clearly outlanded Kotelnik, which he didn't...the bout would have been, and was scored for Alexanders workrate. But like Uncle Rico said, Kotelnik controlled more than one aspect of the bout...I had Alexander winning by 1 point, but will definitely have to watch it again.
Kotelnik. Going by this poll, the people who thought Alexander won are the same ******* dentists who won't recommend Trident for cleaner teeth.
I picked Devon Alexander to win going into the fight and I was wrong. Kotelnik took that fight convincingly.
Fights like this make me glad that Pirog KTFO Jacobs because if that went to a decision you know which way it was going to go even if Jacobs lost the rest of the rounds badly.
Clear victory for Kotelnik. I don't see how you can get it wrong unless you're a bias Alexander fan, Harold Lederman, or one of those paid off judges that were at ringside.
Nah, I think that would have been different because it wasn't like Jacobs was throwing tons and tons of punches. With this fight there is a loophole where some may have given it to Alexander based on volume...but then again may'be I'm just trying to be a positive pete. lol. :nut
So did I. Watch that fight again Jacobs won 2 rounds very clearly and 1 could have gone either way but I think Jacobs did more.
