i'm sorry but i seriously find this crossing a line: scoring for alexander=not a true boxing fan. this is very much reflex and gut reaction thinking. score the fight how you want but if you believe THAT totally that koletnik won, you're wrong. he did not win that fight that clearly and your heart/passion/(more likely) mob mentality is getting the best of you
Everyone scoring for Alexander had too get the bad taste from Jacobs' effort last week, out of their mouths.
from rounds 5-12 kotelnik outlanded him and almost landed his jab and right at will while alexander was shadowboxing on gloves...his footwork looked shitty and he let the slower man get in and do his thing ...**** outta here..what fight were u watching
After going throughout all these Alexander & Kotelnik threads it's basically split 50/50 on who won, which means a close fight that no one dominated and if Kotelnik would have been awarded the decision there would still be cries of robbery.
You couldn't be anymore right. Controversy sells though as this debate will be brought up in alot of other threads MANY times.
and i was an alexander fan b4 all this...but the dude looked almost amateurish and i see why rock allen beat him at the olympicb trials...cunningham is a good trainer but if devon ever wants to tap his full potential he would need a freddie roach to help him harness his right hand a little more and shore up his defense because if it was some one like zab or even maidana landing those punches it would be lights out
More like 6 to 1 atleast and the ones saying Alexander won are the exact same guys we expected that would defend the result.
Wrong. Go view the poll results thread for an accurate result. It's a vocal minority that makes it seem otherwise.
But yet you're apparantly still scoring punches that don't land. Oh, sorry, that's 'outworking' right?
this is gonna be a battle because many of us (only a small majority) saw alexander landing those punches cleanly. right or wrong, we saw something different
From round 7 to 12, Kotelnik was landing massive clean shots. All Alexander was doing is punching in the gloves. It was not even hard to score.
no way in hell alexanders punches should count the same when they tapped K and K snapped his head back all night, had him hurt, had him bloody, had his corner man yelling at devon every round....this was bad for boxing....give it to DA by a round, people can "maybe" make a case////but 8 rounds to 4? when he should hav lost 9-3?? boxing is a joke once again
this was a ***** of a fight to score 20 light punches vs 5 SOLID punches there's no right answer. i don't fault a AK score even if i disagree. why are so many fans finding the opposite so difficult?
First of all do you know how many posts are on here about this match, there's no possible way theres a poll result with all these posts combined, from what i'm seeing it's split on who won, i didn't get to watch the fight which is the reason i didn't comment on who i thought won, just seems to me that neither man dominated so we get **** like this as a result, i'm not a fan of either fighter but have nothing against them as boxers, i just love this sport.
