How can you win if you're being out-landed and being hit with more clean-effective punches.

Scored Froch vs Dirrell a draw. Thought Dirrell got jobbed in a sense by getting screwed with a point deduction. Was rooting for Dirrell, and I felt that he gave the 12th round away (Which he admitted).

You threw that number right out of the sky. Either way, you can't cherry-pick when it matters and doesn't matter. Pac clearly beat Clottey and Pac looked more ****ed up. At the same time, Alexander looked worse physically and mentally and got beat. Yet you still think he won? Come on, re-watch the fight more objectively.

If the fighter is punching and the other guy isnt responding with similar activity it most certainly does count. Its why the high guard is so hard to fight out of. Because even though its hard to break through, its also hard to remain active enough to win decisions. If you watch the Dirrell vs Abraham fight, Dirrell wasnt landing alot past Abrahams gloves but he was active and Abraham wasnt.

Kotelnik would land a good punch, then Alexander would have a 5-6 punch flurry. And that is enough to steal rounds.

Again, Kotelnik landed only 20 more punches. And was outthrown by 400. The judges cant tell whos landing more. Just that Alexander is throwing 5 punches for every one Kotelnik throws.

:lol:Of course you want to forget all that cause I exposed your duplicity in your flawed logic and Cotto clearly won that round with better punches and mostly everyone agrees.

When you throw 400 more and are only outlanded by 20. For the first half of the fight Alexander had the edge in Connects.

There is no way in hell you could give Froch more then 4 rounds. Which is excessive.

Dirrell never admitted he lost the twelth. REwatch the interview. He was shaken by the decision and agreeing to whatever the interviewere was saying.

He clearly won the 12. Froch landed nothing for the first 2 minutes, and Dirrell landed the biggest punch of the round knocking Froch against the ropes.

    REwatch it.

Again as to why im not sure those who watched this fight are sure what they saw. When you cnt even get Froch vs Dirrell right.

By his logic I guess he felt Chavez won more rounds than Meldrick Taylor cause before the stoppage cause Taylor looked like he got hit with a Mack truck while Chavez's face was relatively clean.

Dirrell was legit making Abraham look foolish. There was no question from anybody who was winning, as there shouldn't be any question as to who won tonight.

Kotelnik would land 1-2-3 CLEAN punches right on DA's face, and then DA would THROW 5-6 punches, with 2-3 hitting gloves, big difference.

Better punches? What punches were those that round? Clottey had Cotto running around and not throwing. He landed 22 punches in the round and threw 40.

Just admit that Cotto got a gift so he could fight Pac. Which if he had lost would have been better considering the ass whipping he got there.

One of the judges actually had Chavez winning. In my opinion the fight was closer then many had.

Cotto won round 11, get over it, Cotto won a fight that could have gone either way or been scored a draw, I have no problem with any of those results. Just admit that Alexander got a gift so he could fight Bradley.

Well that judge was flawed and you had Chavez up also right cause Taylor's face looked like **** while Chavez's face was clean, hey I'm only going by your logic in scoring fights.

I rewatched Froch vs Dirrell recently and thought Froch landed more than you claim. I watched the fight on HD. I think I had it 5-5-2.

Dirrell did say he thought he lost the 12th round in his interview? Thought he did. I thought Dirrell should've won because the ref unfairly deducted a point from him. In all fairness, Bernstein scored it for Froch and he's a pretty respectable commentator and man in the industry.

I do have a reputation for scoring hard on the person I'm rooting for to try to really be as level-headed as possible.

There's no way you can compare this fight to Hopkins-Calzaghe, though.

Not to mention that Dirrell's D was largely centered around being a track star while Kotelnik was walking Devon down

How? Froch barely landed a punch. Again you concievably give him 4 rounds. 2 of the first 4. And maybe 7-8. But thats it. He swept rounds 9-10-11-12. 10 being 9-9 because he hurt Froch in the round.

From what I remember Grey asks if he could have done more, Dirrell in a state of emotional shock says "yeah maybe" or something to that effect. It wasnt an answer.

Again watch 12, and watch who actual lands punches. Bernstein had it a raw btw, with both Gus and Tarver having it robbery.

Im largely being facetious. But its still something to look at. At what point do you score activity? Especially if the other fighter really isnt landing all tht more then the other even if the punches are more effective for the most part?

I cant believe folk actually think Slappy Joe landed 232 punches in that fight.

Hopkins must have the most durable skin in existence. They should harness it as tank armor.

You think Froch barely landed a punch, but think Alexander landed the cleaner punches on Kotelnik? Come on...

Like I said, I think I have a habit of scoring fights harder on the person I root for. I must admit, though, Dirrell looked more affected by some of Froch's punches. And the few he landed seemed to shake Dirrell up at times... that gets factored in. I'm starting to think that I scored the fight very hardly on Dirrell (Who I rotoed for).

What, not how I remember it. Bernstein had it by 1 point, I thought, and Tarver thought the decision was fine. I think Gus thought Andre won, but I can't remember for sure.

[quoteIm largely being facetious. But its still something to look at. At what point do you score activity? Especially if the other fighter really isnt landing all tht more then the other even if the punches are more effective for the most part?[/quote]

That's about the line, right there. When you're really taking it to the other fighter, and out-working him nearly 2:1.

In this case, Alexander lost both the work-rate (More landed punches) and clean-punches battle. You don't win by missed punches or punches hitting gloves.
