Walcott's head size was a dead giveaway for HGH use.

    And Jeffries was certainly juiced.

Henry Armstrong and Barbados Joe Walcott immediately come to mind. Jack Johnson would have been accused, not because anyone really believed he had juiced, but because he was greatly disliked by the white establishment.

Archie Moore and Bob Fitzsimmons as well

Guys like Randolph Turpin and certainly Harold Johnson fought in the steroid-era.

Steroids have been available since about 1940, and definitely used in sports since the 40s and 50s.

In addition to a freakish bicep, he was also one of the hardest punchers in...well, the bicep thing anyway.

I'm not sure if steroids are a sufficient explanation for Hank. I think his cheating must have been on a bigger scale: 2 oz gloves, sports drinks in the corner, steroids, and alien technology might explain most of his stamina.

You don't put safety pins in your neck without roid rage. That's just a given.

How far back are we going? Steroids have been available for a very long time. It was never an issue in boxing until more recent times. Lifting weights was almost unheard of for a fighter prior to Holyfield.

    With that said...

Ken Norton, Marvin Hagler, Frank Bruno, Bruce Seldon

    going back a little more...

    Carnera for sure
