Cloud/Johnson & Alexander/Kotelnik - Who's staying up?

Yep, the numbers that Kotelnik ends up with won't do justice to him.

 

I have said it numerous times people were hyping up Alexander for knocking out Urango..the same Urango that was hurt and down against Bailey the fight prior. I had Alexander to win this one..but more to do with fact Kotelnik may of not had it in him anymore..how wrong was i by sounds he's put on great performance. I'm gonna watch it soon enough.

Whoever thought he was better than Timmy Bradley was a gullible dumbass anyway. Urango is nothing but a wild brawler, of course anybody decent outboxes him.

 

I just watched it and scored it 118-113 for Kotelnik (I am competely neutral and have no allegiance either way). I thought I was being VERY generous to Alexander here. Kotelnik was landing all the clean effective punches. Alexander landed very few. He threw loads of punches that either didn't reach or were easily blocked (Similar to Khan vs Kotelnik, except Khan wasn't getting hit in response).

I always thought Lederman's score cards were quite good but this is arguably the worst score card I have ever seen. His bias was unbelievable. HBO should be embarrassed. Alexander should be forced to give him a rematch in a more neutral venue.

Anyone scoring this fight for Alexander doesn't know **** about boxing. I rarely if ever cry robbery, but this is exactly what it was.

 

All Lederman kept banging on about was how "busy" Alexander was in the later rounds.

 

Did you take into account punches that don't land?

Andrande was robbed by Kessler you know.

 

I would only count a punch that doesn't land if it was contributing to his ring generalship. It wasn't.

 

I had it 8-4 Kotelnik cleanly. Alexander didn't adapt at all. HBO scoring made Jim Watt look blessed.

 

Just caught that fight....I feel so sorry for Kotelnik, although it can be argued it was a close fight (I don't really think it was) it was nothing other than a clear victory for Kotelnik. Kotelniks jabs alone seemed more effective than Alexanders widly inaccurate flurries, I had it 116-112 Kotelnik.

Lederman was disgraceful in the fight, I honestly don't know how a former judge could even get close to 9-3 Alexander....I'm disappointed that Papa and Kellerman didn't properly pull him up on it, even though it seemed clear they knew what was happening in the fight.

Bradley and Khan should be scrambling for Alexander now, I hope Kotelnik gets a rematch or another worthy fight.

 

Did you guys actually think Kotelnick won the fight? How can you land 3 shots a round and win? Did you go blind when Alexandr was moving and landing? I can't understand how you can give a round to someone who gets outworked and showed no ring generalship. People are very easily led by HBO who was terrible last night and last night was a prime example of how propaganda works.

 

How did he not adapt? He changed up his gameplan to plan b. Outwork and outbox his opponent. Some people on here. atsch

 

Alexander was never hurt. What round is this meant to be in? You crazy fool. Kotelnick was made to back up numerous times. I have never seen Devon in any kind of trouble.

You think Kotelnik showed no ring generalship, your opinions on the scoring is pretty much null and void.

 

I suppose you gave Kessler against Ward points for ring generalship too and AA V dirrell? Walking forward with hands up is not ring generalship. You need to learn about what it is first and you have no idea. Devon turned him alll night long and moved him where he wanted him and rarely got cornered.
