seriously guys I thought I had ****ed up my scorecard, but felt a lot better when others posted up similar scores to mine.

That was a gang **** last night.

 

Fight could've gone either way. Alexander didn't meet expectations but it wasn't a robbery. Scores were too wide. Alexander missed a shedload of punches although he landed quite a few lefts. Kotelnik picked his punches and generally got the better of it when they exchanged but as always he didn't throw a lot of punches. It reminded me quite a lot of Witter v Kotelnik.

 

I saw the fight in admittedly poor quality but there was no doubt that Kotelnik was the winner. If Alexander had outlanded him on the back foot then there may be an argument but Kotelnik was hunting him down AND was more accurate so it's clear as day that he deserved it. Always thought Lederman was dodgy but he surpassed himself yesterday. It was even worse that Jim Watt's scorecard on Haye-Valuev! BTW I don't know what Mr vip is smoking

 

funnily enough I watched Haye-Valuev yesterday and had the exact same score as Watt, except I had it 115-113 for Haye.

 

The only scorecard I can remember agreeing with him on was Mayweather vs DLH - I scored 11 of the 12 the same..... I gave the first to DLH to make it 115-113 to Floyd.

Oh and Lewis vs Rahman II

In plenty of fights he's ended up with an accurate score but most of the rounds to the wrong fighter :-(

I'll have to DL this one and have a watch.... seems like a really good fight.

 

Unless it is theoretically possible to win a fight without landing a punch on the basis that you are throwing them at thin air, whilst taking punches yourself I don't understand the scores last night.

Alexander was constantly throwing, but he was constantly moving backwards and rarely coming close to even hitting Kotelnik let alone the few that did go near hit gloves.

On the other hand Kotelnik was constantly stalking alexander, throwing a few less punches but landing most of them, clearly pressing the fight, clearly in control, and fighting the smarter fight and looking the more educated and better boxer.

Boxing is a corrupt and wrong sport at times...I just feel for Kotelnik...

It's not even like it was a hard fight to score like Calzaghe - Hopkins. A lot of people argued that Calzaghe won rounds based on activity but they were rounds where he was pressing the fight moving forward constantly and landing a lot more punches.

It was a close fight if Kotelnik and Alexander landed the same number of punches, as then it would be a case of whether you prefered alexander running backwards and being active or Kotelnik coming forward with prolonged educated pressure and being a lot more accurate and smart about picking his shots.

that wasn't how it went though...Kotelnik won that fight...plain and simple.

He looked like he had learnt his lesson from the Khan fight and this time moved forward and was much more active. Alexander had no plan b, I don't think he nor his corner expected Kotelnik to change from the Khan fight and had no plan for if he had and were not smart enough to realise this and change the plan mid fight.

Khan will box the ears off of Alexander imo.

 

Alexander was too busy and kept Kotelnik moving who would take 4 shots throw 1 and take another 4 all night. No doubt in my mind. 117-111 Alexander.
