How's that US writers always find a way to cover up such a disgrace?

What am i leaving out? He doesn't say that he thinks that Alexander legitimately outpointed Kotelnik, he says that the official judges and Harold Lederman contend that he did.

Nice of you to ignore the topic which is why everyone (including you) but the judges and the writers had it for Kotelnik, most clearly. Knowing that you scored it for Kotelnik, do you find the media reports satisfying and fair from the robbed fighter's point of view?

Frankly BigBone, I can't trust your judgement here. I haven't read many reports on this fight. The only one I have read was Doug Fischer's. You included Fischer as one of biased American fighters who is in on the "cover up". However, the title of his article is "A work in progess". Not only that, but he states Alexander may have gotten an early Christmas gift in his article. Supposedly, two U.K media outlets have also scored the fight for Alexander. I think Kotelnik deserved the decision, but I think it's a bit of an overreaction on your part to say that American writers are all conspiring in Alexander's favor.

How does the "guy" being at the fight make his comment more relevant?

because the excuse for judges when they get a wrong decision is that they where at the fight and we where looking on tv
    :good

yeah hbo covered this up like a rug over a coffee stain, kotlenik should of at least got an interview and some respect.

I recall when Lewis beat Holyfield the first time (it was really a draw officially) how the US media was 99.9 % percent in Lewis who is from England corner. Most thought Felix Sturm beat De la Hoya. Also most thought Foreman lost to Alex Shultz as well. I can name more but those are the more high profile fights.

Lol, don't even try that ****, you know damn right what I'm talking about. I'm saying that they are much easier with their guys when they get a gift than the other way around, if not nationalistic, then personal bias (Devon's story is truly great and many are cool with him) or network preference (Alexander is an 'official fighter' and the future). If Alexander was robbed in the Ukraine, these articles would all claim robbery (rightfully), but as it was the other way around, it's a "tougher fight than expected." Double standards?

Isn't it interesting that the entire boxing community claims BS decision but the major papers communicate the fight to the large public as if nothing controversial happened, HBO scoring 117-111 to Alexander and the TV, media already moving on to discuss a fixed fight, Bradley-Alexander? From one fixed fight to another, it'd be very hard to claim robbery here, then write a fat article about how great this unification will be. So better write about Alexander "toughening out" a close fight and explaining (to yourself) that the judges sat at the wrong place. It is still a robbery and they still failed to report as it happened. It was not an "either way" fight, 80% here had the visitor winning and Alexander fans who bought their ticket claim the same.

This is almost pure conjecture. Give me an example where an American lost a fight that he deserved to win overseas where American writers were outraged. Was there a bunch of outrage when Dirrell didn't get the decision against Froch?

Isn't it interesting that you're always coming up with these conspiricies and accusations of bias whenever there is a fight involving an American and a non-American fighter? Did you ever stop to think that a lot of these media outlets are simply striving to write about happened and not involve any sort of personal opinons? I've gone back and looked at ESPN, SI's, FanHouse's and Yahoo's articles on the fight and they all give pretty general descriptions of the action. If you to the BBC's website, there article gives an equally general description of the fight. There is no conspiricy here.

Only you talk conspiracy. I talk about bias. The general consensus of the boxing community, Europeans, Americans etc. say robbery while the media reports "tough fight". Was it a tough fight? Yes. My bad, then their report is accurate!

He doesn't but even though he gives some props to Kotelnik he never actually gives his opinion on who was the better man. This guy is supposed to be a boxing expert on a boxing blog not the Associated Press, Reuters etc. with their terse factual reports that "Alexander won a decision against Kotelnik"

He also never said that Devon recieved a gift, he said "Devon Alexander may have received an early Christmas gift..." There were a lot of ifs, mights, mays, possiblys but no concrete opinion on what he saw. He was doing damage control but he was also thinking of his reputation. We'll see what he says in his weekly mailbag...
