Alexander was hurt so bad that he never went down or anything close to it. Right.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

He won't fight anyone that can punch they had to pay off a wild swinging average fighter in Miadana for christ sakes! Even Glass Jawed Victor Ortiz was willing to fight him. Khan is not willing to fight any of the top guys at 140 they keep going after guys moving up to 140 or guys with ZERO punching power.

Erm...safe's are tough to crack. That's kind of the point of them.

Edit: My apologies, the point's already been made.

No, his chin has not improved. The fact that you think this demonstrates that his management is doing a good job guiding him along.

To again quote Rico Spadafora, "37.9%"....

I'm all for Khan using his abilities. I'm against him fighting only feather fisted opponents.

This is the funny thing about it. Outside of some pop in his fists, Maidana can definitely be outboxed. Yet, based purely on the punching power, Khan won't go anywhere near him.

Dude -he's only had 3 fights at 140, one of which was a mandatory. Give the kid a break. Word is that his next fight at 140 will be against Marquez.

Yes..that's right - the Marquez who just beat the crap out of Diaz and less than a year ago was in a ring with Floyd Mayweather.

Haters hate. It's guys like you that make bookies lots of money. Keep betting on that "shattered glass" event happening in every Khan fight. :good

Winning with a bad chin doesn't make someone a better fighter.

Which is why it is embarrassing to see Khan avoid him like the plague.

    :deal This ^.

Boxing fans need to appreciate the commercial nature surrounding Khan - he's just signed a deal with GBP which I'm guessing cost De La Hoya a fair amount of cash to secure his new investment. They're not going to be wreckless with one of their prized stars. A lot of keyboard warriors need to reserve judgement as Khan moves onto fights into late 2010 / early 2011. Marquez is already being lined up next and there will be little choice beyond Maidana, Bradley, Alexander after that.

You boys need to chillax, have a diet coke and just enjoy the show. Khan is an exciting fighter. Definately one to watch out for over the coming years.

Wrong. As long as he's fighting guys with abysmal knockout ratios, I wouldn't outright bet on him to get stopped even though it still is a plausible scenario against feather fisted fighters. It's when his management puts him in against a guy with something even remotely close to, say, 75%, that things will take a hilarious turn.

His chin has not improved, well, at least, we don't know if it has. Saying it has improved is pure speculation.

I hope he now has the balls to fight Alexander. Or Bradley, Maidana or Ortiz, or just someone who can punch. Judah would take him out of there.

    He's so protected it's unreal.

Tell me, what other young "world champion" attends the fight of two guys in the weight class below, hoping to score a bout with the 37 year old winner?

No one is denying the "commercial nature" of Khan. He's a cash cow without a chin. He's being desperately protected so he won't get starched again. That's the issue.

    Erm...Floyd Mayweather?

On a serious note, I agree with you that comment on whether Khan's chin has improved at 140 is yet to be determined for sure. Time will tell.

In the meantime, I think threads such as these are premature and as the previous poster alluded to - misleading because it lacks context.
