The judges don't have the punch stat in their site and nor do they need it. Alexander outpunch and hit harder than Kotelnik (power punches). Kotelnik, rarley followed up on his few good punches. Alexander, fought to win.
Come on man everyone knows Boxing is CORRUPT now... off the top of my head recently..... Tua vs Barret Froch vs Dirrel Malinaggi vs Diaz Martinez vs Williams ROBBERY!! and as for that fight last night..... Devon was getting tapped all night and throwing punches that were never connecting for the sake of it!! ROBBERY simple fact is more money can be made for the channels, promotors etc if Devon remains champ and fightys Khan, Bradley etc... they were never gonna give it to the eastern european fighting Alexander the greats hometown!! i USED TO LOVE THIS SPORT BUT ITS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN RIGHT ABOUT NOW!! oh well.... at least Don Kings happy!!!
I'm sorry but I can't give Kotelnik any rounds where he only lands 2 combos and nothing else. I know Alexander was missing all night, but considering Kotelnik's LOOOOOOWWWWWWWW output per round, Alexander edged him out in a lot of the rounds. 8-4 may seem like a lopsided score but I had Alexander BARELY squeaking by in most of the rounds, so it's not like my score represents a one-sided beating. If I was to judge the fight as a whole, I would not hesitate giving it to Kotelnik, he was by far the most effective, but the way boxing is scored, round by round, I had it for Alexander, simple as that. I wish I could give it to Kotelnik, but I can't..
sorry but I ended reading your post there. simply because that is a false statement. The fact that Kotelnik came forward all night, was more effective, a better jab that was actually landing and his combos were landing and you still can't award him the fight. You said if you were a judge you would given it to Kotelnik. But for some reason you gave to it Alexander!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I was to judge the fight as a WHOLE I would give it to Kotelnik. But boxing is judged ROUND BY ROUND. And judging the fight round by round, I gave it to Alexander 8-4.
Boxing should be scored on a round by round basis not as a bloody whole. post up your exact scorecard.
He won the fight end of story where Lederman got his scorecard from i will never know! on his jab! which landed at an 8% success rate. shocking stuff really sickens me.
Exactly, hence why I gave it to Alexander. I gave Kotelnik rounds 3, 6, 12 and I can't remember the other round.
I feel Danny Jacobs did enough to outwork Pirog -- I had it 9 rounds to 3. If Pirog had picked up the action a little bit, the scores might have been closer. I love Floyd Mayweather. Most people don't know **** about boxing.
