    Folks,

We all know Tommy Adamek has skills, along with decent power, but is he truly a "Throwback" type of boxer / fighter who could compete with some of the greats who've fought between 175 to 225 pounds throughout the yrs stemming from 1887 to the present time being....

    Yes or No?

What is Adamek's main strength and assets? What is his flaw or flaws??

Will he waste Michael Grant in a couple of weeks or will he struggle with Grant???

He's a throwback type fighter in that he'll step in the ring without too much of the drama that surrounds so many of these fighters today and that he stays in shape and is a consummate professional

I am impressed how Adamek has gone up to 220 pounds and still looks properly filled-out.... But, is he juicing / cheating with roids???

    MR.BILL:huh

Adamek is a professional at this sport. ITs really sad to see some people call "roids" when they see someone with Adamek's hunger.

Everyone thinks that every fighter is like Chris Arreola or David Haye or someone else not worth in the same breath.

Adamek is the damn truth and he comes to fight all the time and has the skills and physical talents to back it up. Adamek does his talking in the ring.

I don't know, Bill. Someone mentioned Adamek vs a solid seventies man like Quarry or Lyle and I don't think he beats any of those types of guys, to be honest. Or, I'm not convinced he would yet, at least. Damn good fighter. I'm reserving judgment on whether or not he's really great.

I'm on the side reviewing the tape of Adam's fight / win over Arreola last April.....

Tom Adamek must've starved to make 175.?.?

Im sure he didnt starve himself, but he just couldnt eat the same foods as he would at CW or HW.

As soon as he moved to CW, he had MUCH more options to the foods that he could eat to gain mass, muscle, and strength to perform in that division in a particular stature..

Im sure he was drained during his last 2 LHWT fights tho. Hence the move.

What the hell does hunger have to do with the fact adamek is a drug cheat?
You have to feel sorry for fighters like Paul Briggs who had to fight a juiced up adamek:nono

Hey, I have not seen Grant in a few years so I can't be sure about him in '10....... But, if his ass is in at 255 pounds or so and looking buffed with stomach abs, he may prove stern for young Adamek....... Grant has tools to work with.......

Tomas Adamek is journeyman at best. And I'm being nice to him. I mean his next opponent has record 2-14. And he lost 2 of his last 3. Adamek is not even ranked in top 100 in lightheavy.

I'd say not great. Mix Adameks heart and chin with Hayes skills and ability and you have a truly great fighter.
