    Give up on him.

He doesnt know how to score ****, he will complain and cry that Dirrell got robbed despite landing all the clean effective blows but make a 180* and say Alexander wins on aggression.

I had it 8-2-2 to Kotelnik and can count the number of punches Alexander landed passed the gloves for the whole fight on 1 hand

Again, this is what I heard from Harold. The fight that I saw, Kotelnik's jab was more effective even in that first 3 rounds, you could often see Devon's head moving back and you rarely see the same with the opponent. There was like 2 rounds when Devon was actually able to land 2 consecuive shots and the body shots at the end of the 1-2-3 were blocked most of the time. If you don't wanna score it again without the sound, you just watch how many times Devon's head is snapped back and how many time Kotelnik's. The few successful body shots hardly balances it out to the point of having a fight a draw or giving it to Devon. It is not an easy fight to score, but the decisive pattern is repeating over and over again, Kotelnik being the clean effective puncher both landing crispier and more, producing wide fan scorecards despite the close look for the average fan. Sweet science over volume for victory.

Why should he need more activity? He threw less and landed more, and were more effective and clean. What is wrong with that?? Throwing countless shots if they are not landing proves nothings. Kotelnik controlled the distance, he picked and timed his shots better, was the more technical of the two and came off better when they went toe to toe a few times. You can be the boss whilst throwing less. If anything is should be prefered when a fighter is not being wasteful, and more calculated and ruthless. Thowing your arms around in the hope that something will land is not clever boxing and anyone who thinks so do not know boxing!

Dirrell outlanded slobra nearly 10-1. Kotelnik slightly outlanded Alexander in total punches. But whereas Dirrell would make Froch miss completely. Kotelnik employed a high guard defense which allowed Alexander to tough him almost at will.

    No comparison.

Absolutely spot on! Kotelnik established his jab from the get go and was landing it. If the rest can be honest and unbiased, you cannot say the same about Alexander who never got his game going, threw shots from outside of range, often hitting air and gloves. COME ON HOW MUCH MORE OBVIOUS CAN IT BE????

No it wasnt. Watch the rounds again. Alexander was actually getting through with his jabs a little bit here setting up the lead left. Again punches to the body do count and Alexander was landing lead lefts to Kotelniks body in the early rounds. Dont know why he went away from it. It was very effective.
Saw Kotelniks head move back a punch of times, especially when his punches actually pierced his gloves. The crowd would let you know it to.
Kotelniks clean effective punches did not occur on an often enough basis for him to decisively take the fight sorry. Agin he'd land 1 solid punch, then let Alexander tee off on him. Several times being pushed back by the onslaught.

And as for wide fan scorecards. As someone posted earlier, the majority of boxing publications had Alexander the winner.

Have you actually forgotten at this point that that was only according to numbers that you made up?

Quite funny when people lose track of their own bull**** and think it's actual fact...

Its a guestimation. But not far off base. I can literally count on one hand what Froch landed in that fight.

    He clearly didn't.

But punch stars only tell part of the story. They aren't the only thing to look at.

What do you think compubox is? It's two persons doing the scoring during the fight. It's as open to bias as is a ringside judge. The only difference is that the persons operating the compubox machine only focus on one of the fighters and not both.

You can't use compubox for anything as far as I'm concerned.

Clearly he did. and punches arent the only thing, but they are the most telling and easily recognizable.

Unless its the Froch vs Dirrell fight where Dirrell's defense was almost more telling then his punches.
