I have to say I am disgusted with Maloney for messing Lindsay about - he was promising a Belfast show after Lindsay had schooled Arthur. I hope he is true to his word and gets Martin a world title shot in the next 12 months. Which, shouldnt be too much trouble as Martin already had a World Title Eliminator offered to him before he signed with Maloney. :-(
Wasnt he saying Euro Title shot? wow great work frank getting the #1 Featherweight in Europe a title shot that must take alot of work....
I wont have any part to play in Stapleton's Hyping of this fight:deal You will have to go to the Don himself for the answer to that question!
Lindsay had a European Title shot possibility on the table as well - Maloney has done **** all as far as I am concerned - he needs to get his finger out and get Martin top of the bill shows at the Kings Hall (and he would sell it out - no problem) - that is his level now - not 8 rounders on an undercard in England.:fire

Nottingham’s Jason Booth heads the bill when he challenges Steve Moiltor for the IBF world super-bantamweight title at Rainton Meadows Arena, Houghton-le-Spring on Saturday September 11. Belfast’s Lindsay, 28, will keep busy when he boxes an eight round non-title contest against a selected opponent on the undercard of a show being televised live by Sky Sports This content is protected . Promoter Frank Maloney is hopeful Lindsay (16-0) could be a world title challenger in the next 12 months. He added: “Martin is closing in on a European title shot and I am certain that sometime next year he will be challenging for a world title in his hometown. “Martin brings excitement to the ring and the more exposure he gets the more popular he will become.” In the chief supporting contest London Matthew Marsh (13-2) will meet undefeated Scot Kris Hughes (12-0) for the vacant Commonwealth super-bantamweight crown. ------------------------------- Hi Ardy, I would like to jump in here - initially I thought Andy Murray would be too much for Bryne at this stage of their careeros but now I have my doubts! I mean - I'm not sure Andy Murray would have got rid of the latvian that well in that fashion. Byrne was just so patient and so in control. I actually thought he threw very few punches he was so casual almost.
I'm going to be completely honest that wasn't even Byrne at 100% that was him at a weeks notice........ His right hand was giving him trouble the week leading up to the fight but he didnt want to pull out and disappoint the fans.
